Awesome specs . They are semi retro-ish back in the day . I don’t this the. Ikon ZF is going to have the same specs or abilities. I’m tempted on getting the a7cii. I want something small and with this phenomenal focusing capability’s to go in a kit with my two , a7siii’s . I have the lenses I need . But dang is that 16-35ii nice . I have the 16-35 f/4 pz. It’s ok but the power Zoom isn’t the best.Watch T

Of course if you can afford a7c2 at 200$ less promotional price, it is an even more complete camera, with improved stabilization and dynamic stabilization allowing to film without a gimbal. You get the 10 bit movies, 4k60 cropped, and the new ai chip autofocus for birds, insects…better EVF magnification, better grip, more button, extension base grip. If you’ve outgrown your APS‑C body, crave better low-light performance, cleaner files, and more depth‑of‑field control—but don’t want a bulky rig—the Sony Alpha A7C II is a compelling upgrade path. And so it was decided to trade it in for a newer, more compact body, the Sony A7C II. I don't have that much to say about it yet, only that it does the things I will need the A7III to do, but can't. Let's circle back to this after around another 7 years, when we've put it through its paces.Watch O
Sad that only Sony is making the camera that I, as a Fuji user (X-S20 now, AMAZING camera, specially after the last firmware update), always wanted - the A7CII and the A6700. A "rangefinder" body (attracts much less attention in the streets and when travelling), with IBIS, very good photo and video specs, good AF. Just a joystick missing. But Fuji will never make a rangefinder body with IBIS.Watch J
Hey everyone! I am so excited to be sharing my review of the new Sony A7CII. When I review my images taken with the A7Cii I often think. why don’t I use this more. Also love the 40 2.5. It lives on my A7Cii. I’ll give you a use-case example. my boys and I often grab coffee in the morning and just goof off. With the A7Cii I can just aim/shoot (I don’t bring the camera to my eye) and eye detect gets me the best candid shots. X100VI misses a lot of these.Watch P

If your focus is more video, I would recommend the A7CII. For sports, wildlife and any action photography, I would recommend the A7CII due to faster speeds. For all other photography, the cropping ability of the 60mp sensor takes the win. Great video. I love almost everything about the A7CII and it has been so much fun to use. The photos are stunning. But when I compare the videos from it with my Lumix cameras, I just greatly prefer the Lumix video. Part of it is that the Lumix has much better ibis in video and the colours are just great. Open gate is also fantastic, once you use it there is no going back.Watch D

The Sony A7C II honestly feels like the best compact full-frame option you can get for the money for stills photography. The Sony A7Cii is an incredible camera, especially in 2025. But, is the Sony A7Cii the best budget hybrid camera in 2025? I think so. By the way, this isn't a cheap camera. I'm still very confused on whether to pick A7IV or A7CII I'm moving from APS-C to my first full frame and can only buy one. I love the form factor and the design of the A7Cii but I can't decide if the lack of dual SD card slot is a big enough reason to pick one over the other. Probably one of the most important decisions in my career(I'm still in my early career).Watch M
There's only one card slot in the a7C II. And one of these card slots takes a CFexpress A card as well as an SD card. It's a dual slot. That is just one of the slots on this. The other one is a regular SD slot. Whereas the a7C II just has that one regular SD slot. So, this is very good for redundant recording. You're doing professional paid work. You're at a wedding. You want that backup.Watch J
I own the a7CII, A7III, & A7Cr for professional photography & by far my fav & easiest to use/work with is my a7CII! It’s literally my main camera for everything. I picked up the Sony A7C II because I wanted one camera that could shoot photo and video at a high level, and it's been that for me. After living with the A7C II for a while, here's my honest take, plus the specs worth knowing before you buy one.Read T

I just ordered the A74 (arrives tomorrow), (had the A7C but sold it for the A74) thinking I was going use that as my primary hybrid camera and would look at the A7Cii as the backup camera (I like the lightweight for travel!). Now, one of the things I shoot is the Sony 200-600mm lens for wildlife and that small A7C was just too small when using it.Watch P

I’ll be honest, I was deciding between the a7cii and the xt5 last year and the deciding factors for me was I already had a decent sized x mount lens collection and the single card slot on the Sony was a miss. I love my xt5, not quite as much as my xpro3 but it’s a great camera. What can I say, I’m an old school dial guy. Keep up the good content!Watch O
There's probably quite a few cameras to be fair, but the one camera that comes to mind is of course the lovely Sony a7C II, and it's actually already been out for over 2 and 1/2 years. So, in my opinion, the Sony a7C II might just be one of the best hybrid all-round cameras that you can buy right now and going forward for the next few years.Watch T
The a7C II delivers excellent image quality and a strong underwater white balance but has a few limitations. Chief among them is its flash sync speed of 1/160, which makes shooting in high ambient light or capturing sunball shots more difficult. The camera also crops at 4K 60p, making it less appealing for video compared to its larger siblings.Read B

I too eventually purchased a sony A7C ii with a 40mm f2.5 after owning Canon R6 with big heavy RF lenses, which are also crazy expensive and being a closed up system it was more convenient to buy a Sony and a good lens with weather sealing and fast focus. I'm pretty sure that I'll be taking more family pictures now having the smaller Sony.Watch D

I’ve had the A7cii and traded it for the A7iv. I understand the A7cii has better AF (but not by much at all) and few ai features but that’s easily overshadowed by the full mechanical shutter, dual card slot, joy stick, bigger evf etc… that being said…all 3 cameras have to be amazing. The image quality in all of them will be amazing.Watch U

The A7C II is a very capable video camera for its size. It essentially matches the Sony A7 IV in video features—oversampled 4K, 10-bit, profiles—with the only compromises being the 60p crop and the smaller body (which can benefit travel vloggers). It’s a great fit for hybrid shooters who want one camera for both stills and video.Read L

Quick verdict: the Sony a7C II is one of the strongest compact full-frame cameras for travel, street photography, family use, and hybrid creators who want serious image quality without carrying a large body. I love my Sony A7cii, I’ve had it for over a year as a hybrid for my real estate business and I love it. One thing annoyed me, 1/4000 max shutter speed with a wide aperture lens just isn’t good enough on a bright day here in Spain. I bought A7C2 but I wish I bought A6700 after 1 trip. For me as just a casual or non pro user, I really need mobility. A7C2 with 24-70mm even GM II lens, it's just too big to carry around. I'd definitely prefer small size of A6700, more importantly, APSC lens are just so much smaller.Watch O

I have the a7cii. It's my very first camera. I really like it. But if I knew a little about the price of full frame / aps-c lenses before buying the a7cii, I would have gone for the a6700 as my FIRST CAMERA. I should have done more research, but I don't regret my A7cii, it's great.Watch S
Last night i tried both a7iv and a7cii with same lens and same setup, but a7cii disappointed me. A7iv tends to work better on the low light situation. The Sony A7C II wins because full frame quality in a body that fits anywhere is genuinely hard to argue with. You bring it everywhere. You use it everywhere. Your photos get better because of it. Sometimes the smartest choice and the most expensive choice aren't the same thing.Read T

Nice and compact body, but there's no getting away from the fact full frame lenses are larger. So while the body is lighter compared with the majority of full frame cameras, you're still lugging around those larger lenses.Watch T
