Privacy policy
The short version: this site doesn't have accounts and doesn't set cookies of its own. It runs one analytics script, in a mode that sets no cookies and keeps no record of who you are between visits.

What we collect
Very little. stierproducts is a static site: there are no user accounts, no comment forms, no newsletter signups, and no advertising scripts. We do not set first-party cookies.
Analytics
We use one analytics tool, Microsoft Clarity, to see which pages are read, where readers arrive from, and where on a page they scroll and click. We run it with consent set to denied for every visitor. In that mode it sets no cookies and does not link one visit to the next. It does not know who you are. What it receives is the page address, the referring site, your browser and screen size, and where you moved and clicked on the page. Clarity masks typed text by default, and this site has no forms to type into. The data goes to Microsoft and is governed by Microsoft's privacy statement. If you block the script with a content blocker, the site works the same.
Hosting logs
The site is served by Microsoft Azure. Like virtually all web hosting, Azure may record standard technical request logs (such as IP address, browser user agent, and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. We use these only in aggregate, if at all, and they are governed by Microsoft's privacy statement.
The connector for AI assistants
stierproducts also runs a connector that AI assistants, such as ChatGPT, can use to read our tier lists. It is separate from this website and has no accounts.
When an assistant calls the connector, we keep a short record of what it asked about, never of who asked. The record holds the name of the tool that was used, the category or product it asked for, the search words it sent when it searched for a product, how many results came back, whether nothing was found, and how long the call took. We use it to learn which categories people ask about and which products we do not rank yet.
That record does not include your IP address, a session, an account or any other identifier. Calls reach us from the assistant's servers, not from your device. The records are stored in Microsoft Azure for 30 days. The hosting logs described above also apply to the connector.
Outbound retailer links
Product pages link out to retailers. These links carry no affiliate tag (see our disclosure), so we receive nothing when you buy. The retailer may set cookies on their own site. What happens there is covered by that retailer's privacy policy, not this one.
