I do not miss my X-T5 at all and consider the X-S20 an upgrade - the video looks way better, especially if you start taking at FHD 120fps. On the X-T5 120 fps was virtually unusable as it was so noisy. More mega pixels are not always better especially when it comes to video, and as I don't crop or pixel peep too much I can't see the difference in the photographs I am getting out of it.

So far the xs20 is my favorite camera. unfortunately my first one had an LCD screen issue but the replacement is on the way. Aside from that issue, the camera functioned amazing and i absolutely adore the camera! I do however with the front dial was customizable , hopefully a firmware update will allow it to be changed since i only use the aperture on the lens and not the front dial.

I have nothing else to compare the EVF to and I never really gave it much thought - though I do appreciate FujiFilm’s screen info layout, colors, etc. I wonder if I compared it side by side with a higher res EVF if I would immediately notice the difference? It is the best camera that I have every used. On photographing birds in the close where I live, the bird tracking was very good and it even worked on a butterfly. I kept the X-E3 and it allows two cameras to be used with the X-E3 with the 18-55mm and the X-S20 with the 70-300 + 1.4 TC. This is to reduce the probability of getting dust on the sensor.

These new midrange mirror less cameras definitely punch above their weight. Spending 2x, 3x or 5x more on a camera has diminishing returns as they are not necessarily 2x, 3x or 5x better. The X-S20 is probably going to be my first Fujifilm camera, even though a part of me really just wants to splurge on GFX 100 ii. Is the GFX better? Definitely.

I pre-ordered the X-S20 over three years ago and love it. It is mostly used for nature photography and the large grip is indispensable when using the 70-300mm or the 500mm lens. When shooting animals I use pre-shot and burst mode and the camera can overheat when taking lots of photographs. The custom controls are really useful.

The X-S20 is an excellent camera. Small, great ergonomics, powerhouse specs for the size and price. If you are truly a hybrid shooter (which it sounds like), this is the one to go for (unless you want to spend a lot more on an X-H2s, which is overkill for most people). Only thing I‘d maybe miss from it is weather sealing.

I also have the H2S and S20 for video work, really like the matching sensor/processor so images are the same. The only gripe I have for the S20 is it will overheat when I shoot anything over 4K24, so it's really just my second video cam during wedding ceremonies, and H2S is main cam for everything else.

Quick confirmation that the X-S20 is NOT weather resistant. In the original information about the camera that I received along with the pre-production model, it was mentioned that the body is dust and weather resistant so I used it in that way. Unfortunately it is not.

I bought and compared both cameras myself, ended up keeping the X-S20. I came to the same conclusion though, for most photographers/videographers the A6700 is better overall, two big reasons would be autofocus and weather sealing.

If you're a vlogger in need of a camera upgrade, the Fujifilm X-S20 is the answer - especially if you are already in the Fujifilm ecosystem and are on a budget. I switched from the Fujifilm X-T3 to the X-S20 and I am so glad I did. With its flip-out screen and excellent video quality, this camera is tailor-made for vlogging and talking head videos.

Honestly, when I have the XS20 on me, I just assume that I'm going to be in work mode all day, to be honest. The camera is heavy. It's quite it's it's smaller than other mirrorless cameras in many respects, but it's still chunky and it's still quite a weighted camera.

I love my X-S20, do like the X100VI when I’ve had a play for street stuff but then I’d need two cameras to cover aviation, macro etc.
