How we rank
Every board on stierproducts is built from the expert reviews you already trust, consolidated into one clear best-to-worst ranking. Here's exactly how a product earns its place.
1. We research the whole field
For each category we run a deep research pass across the most authoritative sources (dedicated testing labs, specialist publications, and well-regarded expert reviewers), working from their current rankings and buying guides. That surfaces the products a buyer would actually shortlist today: the consensus flagships, the value picks, and the budget options worth knowing about.
2. Every placement is cited
A product only makes the board on the strength of what named outlets actually say about it. Each product page lists its sources (who covered it, what stance they take, and a link to the original coverage), so every placement is traceable back to the reviews behind it.
3. One strict best-to-worst ranking
The board judges performance for the money and overall excellence. Ties aren't allowed: every product gets a rank, a tier, and a plain-English verdict explaining why it sits where it sits. Boards are re-researched regularly so a new release or a price shift can reshuffle the order.
4. What the tiers mean
S is kept rare on purpose - at most a couple of products per category earn it. Products covered by only one outlet are shown dimmed and marked "limited coverage" until more sources weigh in.
