I just got a B580 for my fiance's computer for Christmas, and I couldn't be more impressed with it. Really great card for the price, and the Intel drivers have been rock solid so far. Not only do I not have any complaints, I'll be first in line for their Celestius/Xe3 cards whenever they come out later this year or next.

Based on our day one reviews, you might think the answer is obvious because we were largely positive about the B580 and took a big old dump on the RTX 5050. But there's a lot more going on here today with differences in upscaling quality, differences in driver polish, large swings in performance in either direction, and of course, the big difference in VRAM.

Now, I was using DX11, and to be honest, when I fired up DX11 mode, the game was a bit all over the place, and I thought, "Oh, no, Intel Arc, here we go, an absolute mess." But, what I realized was that we can also select DX12 from the Steam launcher, and doing so makes it run absolutely perfectly, almost. A really smooth experience with DX12 mode.

The first major benefit to having the B580 is being able to fully utilize Intel's XeSS technology. This is Intel's AI tech. It's a setting in game. You turn it on and it increases your performance of your game, making it run super smooth, and it doesn't really touch the image quality. Like your game runs smoother and it still looks really good when you use this setting.
