The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is in a great position for fast 1080p and solid 1440p resolutions – especially with 16GB VRAM. It should be a solid option for years to come, too, given 2026’s shortage of memory chips delaying the arrival of any future successor. It may even be the last ‘lower-cost’ 16GB Nvidia card.

I think it was a pretty sound purchase for MSFS2024. I have yet to see the sim utilize more than 12gbs of my VRAM but it uses that 12gb up pretty quick making me glad I did not go for the 5070… despite the better benchmarks.

The practical point for me is simple: TQ3 1S fits fully on my 16GB RTX 5060 Ti Q4 0 does not fit fully on GPU in the same setup So I’m not claiming “better than Q4 0” in general.

Eval rate 42 tokens per sec. Wow. Versus 21 on the RTX 3060 12 GB. It's twice as fast as the 3060 while consuming less power. At idle, it uses 10 watts less than the 3060. Under heavy AI workload, it uses 36 watts less than the 3060. Good efficiency. We will run the RTX 5060Ti 16 GB with other AI models.

32GB of DDR5 RAM isn't something you can get for such a cheap price today, and the 16GB variant of the 5060 Ti graphics card is actually more expensive than the stronger 5070, on average. This isn't even mentioning the 2TB of SSD storage that comes with Xidax's system.
