The Radeon RX 9060 XT is an excellent GPU for 1080p and even for 1440p gaming, considering you are going for the 16 GB edition. This is currently the cheapest modern-gen 16 GB GPU you can buy, which trades blows with the more expensive GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB.

That is a huge boost! Now, let's move on to Doom: The Dark Ages. First, let's try 1440p at the High preset with no FSR and no Frame Gen. We got a solid 62 FPS average here. For a brand new game running at native 1440p, that’s actually really good. Switching over to FSR Quality now, but Frame Gen stays off so we can see the raw upscaling boost.

I was particularly impressed by the RX 9060 XT 16 GB when I tested it last year, and the 8 GB version is usually substantially cheaper. In fact, out of all of AMD and Nvidia's current-generation graphics cards, it's the most affordable of the lot.

But few reviews as well as ChatGPT and Gemini says that this 8 GB version is not worth 36K as it has only 8gb vram and will not be able to perform 100% at 1440 gaming. Instead they recommend me to get RX 7600 8gb that is priced at 27000 in Amazon.

I'm in a session with AMD's David McCaffy, and my question for him is, why 8 GB? How can we justify that in 2025? Majority of gamers are still playing at 1080p and have no use for more than 8 GB of memory. Most played games worldwide are mostly esports games. We wouldn't build it if there wasn't a market for it. If 8 GB isn't right for you, then there's a 16 GB.

The model is available in two versions: 16GB and 8GB. However, the performance and future viability of these systems are not the same. The 16GB version is the sweet spot, offering the best blend of performance and longevity.
