This new DJI Neo 2 feels like DJI has dived into their high-tech kitchen sink and included everything they could find – the results are impressive. The drone now feels boasts omnidirectional sensing as well as prop guards – a massive boost to safety. At the front, there is a LiDAR as part of this all-around vision, while usability gets a boost with the arrival of a display.Read T
I’ve been flying the DJI Neo 2 for weeks, and it has grown on me since the day I took it out of the box. The camera is so much better than before, and the LiDAR obstacle-sensing at this price is mind-blowing. If you want an affordable drone that actually gets the job done, you need the Neo 2.Read

I think the Neo 2 is the best drone that DJI has ever made. The reason for that is because it is designed to appeal to all levels of interests and abilities. An 8-year-old kid can fly it alone with just their hands. A 25-year-old experienced FPV pilot can have fun flying it in acro mode, and a middle-aged regular dude from North Dakota can use it to capture aerial content for his social media. The use cases of this drone are endless, and the ease of use, the durability, and the versatility are what makes me hold it in such high regard. Even with its subtle flaws, anyone who buys this drone would have zero regrets.Read L Learn Online Video Learn Online Video · 1.7M subscribers · Jan 2026

In all my testing thus far, I’d say the NEO 2 might be the current tracking drone to beat. While the HoverAir X1 Pro/ProMax definitely delivers a bit better video/image quality, the NEO 2 is a bit more versatile in terms of longer-range remotes and such. However, it’s specifically the ability to use simple hand gestures to place it exactly where you want in the sky, lock it by simply making a fist, and then continue on running/riding, that’s so astounding. HoverAir can do some basic commands via hand gestures; however, this one is very unique and super practical. Now, its weight aside, the DJI Neo 2 is honestly the perfect beginner drone. Like the original Neo, it can follow you around, and shoot up to 4K. The Neo 2, however, now lets you control it with your palm. Hold your palm up, and the Neo 2 will recognise it, and follow it up, down, left, or right, to reposition. You can also hold two palms up to move it backwards, or cross your palms to bring the drone closer to you. It's pretty fun and makes you feel like a Jedi.Read A Air Photography Air Photography · 505K subscribers · Sept 2026
The Neo 2 is easily one of my all time favourite drones from DJI due to is small convenient size and versatility on how you can fly and utilize it. It's easy to deploy and easy to pack when you want to pack light making it a great drone for travel, day trips and hiking when you want to capture and share your adventures. These are my honest thoughts after a year of incredible flights with the DJI Neo 2.Watch D
In any case, the first entrant to this course is the new DJI NEO 2, which takes the existing DJI NEO 1, substantially upgrades the imaging pipeline (and video quality), and then adds in a bunch of super useful gesture-based controls (arguably the first time I’ve ever found any gesture-based control system even halfway useful, most just suck).Read 5 51 Drones 51 Drones · 373K subscribers · Feb 2026

The DJI Neo 2 impresses with its well thought-out, minimalist design, which is designed for absolute user-friendliness. I will tell you from my experience, for newbies, it's a way more fun to fly with the Motion Controller 3 and thankfully DJI does sell a kit with the Goggles and the Motion Controller 3 and the Neo 2, which is perfect for a lot of people. If you want to fly FPV with a Remote Controller 3, then you're getting into the true FPV hobby. You would have to loosen some screws in the back, drop the left joystick like I've done, change some settings in your Goggles so that you have the PIDs everything correct, and then go fly and you can fly the Neo 2 sort of like a real FPV drone.Watch B
