I flew the DJI Flip drone for weeks and loved it. It is stable, shoots 4K video, and is easy to control. I used it on hikes, small shoots, and quick trips. The footage always looked clear and professional. If you want a reliable drone that is simple and powerful, this one works great.

This is the newest drone in the DJI lineup, and in our opinion it is the best drone for beginners in 2025. Let us know your thoughts about this drone in the comments.

Here are some of the things I love about the DJI FLIP. All aerial video was taken from the Flip unless otherwise indicated.

The new DJI Flip 4K Drone is a great solution for those who seek cinematic videos while traveling alone. In combination with the Logitech MX Creative Console, you can edit some amazing videos really fast. Make sure to watch the video to the end to explore all the features.

If you're looking to get your first ever cinematic drone, I highly suggest you go straight to the DJI Flip.

On the other hand, the Flip is a foldable creative powerhouse that fits right into your pocket and delivers cinematic results with its prolevel camera system.

No matter what anyone says, this is a really fun drone, and it is worthy of the DJI brand.

And while the Flip isn't overflowing with aesthetic beauty, it's what it can do that makes it so appealing. I'd like to thank DJI for sending this in for review. The DJI Flip has seriously impressed me as a "follow me" drone, perfect for capturing dynamic motorcycle rides without missing a beat.

My conclusion: DJI released the Flip too early, but they may have finally turned it into the drone it was supposed to be from the beginning.

The DJI Flip completely surprised me — it offers nearly identical image quality and features to the DJI Mini 4 Pro while costing about $300 less. From sharp 4K footage to smooth stabilization, it’s a hidden gem for creators who want pro-level results without breaking the bank. If you’re looking for the best budget-friendly DJI drone in 2025, the DJI Flip might just be it.

The DJI Flip turned out to be a great way to spend time together outdoors while capturing some awesome aerial shots. If you’re looking for a compact, family-friendly drone that’s simple to use but still delivers great video, this one is definitely worth checking out.

And I got the Flip because it's in a perfect sweet spot between the previous two. Of course, the Avata blows everything out of the water when it comes to speed and image quality, but in exchange, it's not easy enough to carry, and my backpack was already filled with a ton of gear, so I needed to find something smaller.

DJI Flip Review: I Didn't Expect It to Be This Good.

After three full months of daily flying, testing, and filming, I can confidently say the DJI Flip Fly More Combo with the RC 2 screen remote is one of the best lightweight drones I’ve ever used. Whether you’re a weekend warrior, a vanlifer chasing sunrise, or a creator building a content library, this drone delivers.

That's why I think the DJI Flip is excellent because it can fly without controller.

I do love the DJI Flip, but it could be even better. All aerial video was taken from the Flip unless otherwise indicated.

So, it's a more of a case of substance of a style, but not the prettiest.

However, it's actually a very capable and affordably priced drone, so if I didn't have the Mini 4 Pro I might have kept it.

Spoiler: it’s basically a stripped-down Mini 3/4 with fewer sensors and a toy-like feel, but there’s still some surprising upside—especially if you're a beginner drone pilot.
