DJI Mini 5 Pro

Registered it (live in the states and the USA doesn’t recognize it as a sub 250g drone) Have had nothing but positives things to say about it. This thing is incredible. I live in a heavily wooded area so the 2 mile distance was still impressive for me compared to other drones.

The jump from a 1/1.3-inch sensor to a 1-inch sensor is the biggest single sensor upgrade DJI has put into the Mini line, and it shows clearly in the RAW files. If you mostly fly the Mini 4 Pro for casual shooting and video, the upgrade is less urgent.

It's a fivestar product with a catch.

The Mini 5 Pro is a fantastic choice. It’s a great drone. But it’s still not my favorite number one drone that I own or use. That spot is reserved for the Mavic 4 Pro , which I tend to pick up daily or any time I’m wondering what drone to choose.

Whereas the Mini4 Pro had a separate guard for the gimbal and propellers, this new design protects both allin-one, making it faster and easier to remove or put back on. Now folded and side by side alongside the new darker gray color of the Mini 5 Pro, which I actually prefer. You can see it is slightly longer, although essentially the same width and height, so remaining extremely compact. And unfolded, they are as near as makes no difference the same size. Although when on the ground, the Mini 5 Pro does set higher due to where the arms are on the body.

Man this Mini 5 pro compared to my Mini 3 standard is soo much better. It's way smoother, camera is awesome, it's faster on everything up down forward backwards everything. Definitely worth the trade up.

DJI has officially released the Mini 5 Pro, and I think this is pushing the Mini lineup further than most people expected.

DJI's latest mini drone camera offers the kind of imaging power, intelligent automation and safety features that were once reserved for much heavier, more expensive models

But don't shy away now because this part is important. Just get that mental hurdle out of the way and your life is going to be way easier. There are four different combos you can get. I think the confusing part is RC2 and RCN3. The basic combo is the drone and an extra battery. The FlyMore combo has extra batteries, a charging port, a bag, ND filters. Then there is the FlyMore with the nicer smart remote. Then there is the FlyMore with the nicer smart remote, and you get the bigger batteries, which lasts like 43 minutes. It's really important that you get the package that has the smart remote.

The company’s latest model, the Mini 5 Pro, stirred quite a few emotions online because of weight variances that push the drone out of the sub-250g category.

When buying a DJI Mini 5 Pro the packages that come with the smart remote (DJI RC 2) and extra battery are very much worth it. You can charge a second battery in the car while you are flying with the first. Even if you don't get one of these packages you can at the least get a second battery somewhere online.

The Mini 5 Pro is all that DJI said it is and more, I have been flying drones for many years now and own many DJI drones also some other name brand drones.

For myself I have decided to keep the DJI Mini 5 Pro to replace my DJI Air 3S.

The 1 in sensor makes a big difference in my opinion. The noise is lower in low light. Shadows and highlights hold a lot more detail.

Now, the Mini 5 Pro is actually one of my favorite drones, probably of all time, and it's currently one of my top recommendations for most people. DJI isn’t being honest with how they market this drone.

Obstacle avoidance is good, but it's not perfect.

Transmission has also been improved from all four on the Mini4 Pro to all four plus on the Mini 5 Pro. Honestly, I've never had any issues with the signal on any of these drones unless you're flying in urban areas behind some very solid obstacles. You probably wouldn't deal with any problems as well. Now, when it comes to tracking here, the Mini 5 Pro is taking a huge leap because not only it has lighter on the front for significantly better performance at nighttime and even better uh safety, but also it has an even better algorithm that is much smoother when it comes to tracking people, vehicles.
