Now, a common theme for this monitor throughout the entire review is the specs are never going to blow your socks off. Like, no single aspect of this monitor is best in class, but it does everything really just really adequately well. And I think that's probably a compliment because like there's no there's no rough edges on this monitor

The Dell U4025QW is currently the best productivity monitor on the market for Mac users who find the 27-inch Studio Display too constraining. Agreed, and the Dell is looking strong in that regard, isn't it? It's got a PPI of 140, so even with some scaling, it's gonna look way better than what I'm currently using. The new LG has the same pixel density, but there's not enough info on it, and stores don't have it.

The Dell UltraSharp U4025QW is the better monitor for most professionals because its productivity features are simply more mature and useful everyday, while the LG UltraFine 40U990A is the better choice for buyers who specifically want Thunderbolt 5 and the newest connectivity standards. If both cost the same, the Dell remains the overall winner for most users.

8:05 If backlight bleeding is so visible under ideal conditions, it is certainly a disaster in darker rooms. I was looking for a better IPS monitor because I hate the IPS glow and backlight bleeding from my NEC screen. I was hoping that "IPS Black" would be the solution but this monitor doesn't seem to be worth the money.

I got mine but I am experiencing HUGE problems with the thunderbolt connection with my Macbook Pro 2024. basically the thunderbolt connection drops at random times, or curiously enough when I click on some software on the Dell display (like google maps).
