For a compact unit, the sound from the built-in speakers is surprisingly clear and full, not tinny like some of its predecessors. It's not aiming to replace a high-end system, but for casual listening, dorm rooms, or just easily bringing your vinyl collection to a friend's place, it absolutely hits the mark without demanding a huge investment.
