It has a serious key duplication problem. I'm not the only one having this issue. Search ROG Azoth duplicated keys. I tried so many things and nothing fixed it. It seems to be a Firmware issue that Asus haven't addressed or not even planning on addressing it since it has been there for a while and they even now making a more expensive version of this keyboard without even fixing the current one.

It's quite an interesting one since it's a huge step up from the normal pre-built gaming keyboards in the market right now, and is customizable, giving it the custom keyboard feel. It also comes with a lube kit, so you don't have to spend extra money modding it!

The 1.47-inch full color OLED touchscreen display is one of the better displays that I’ve seen on a keyboard. The ASUS built-in animations look great, but of course you can add your own. There is also Music Mode where an audio visualizer will appear on the display, you can display system stats, the date and time, and even your keystrokes per second (KPS).

This is the @asusrog Azoth, a 75% custom wireless gaming keyboard that's quite easily the best main brand gaming keyboard I've tried. Keyboard snobs will often argue that "gamer" keyboards are rubbish and nothing compared to custom built keyboards you can buy and craft yourself. Indeed even some budget keyboards are great compared to more expensive ones from better known brands.

Unfortunately, that’s not 100% true of the Asus ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20, as it still requires one companion app to fully work with the software. Otherwise, you can tweak the lighting, set up macros, and do everything from the Gear Link website. to install any needless software to get the most out of Asus’s new keyboard.

It is incredibly heavy though, weighing in at about 1.5 kg due to its anodized aluminum chassis, but it's well built and feels pretty great to the touch. To be expected for the price ASUS is asking for. So, the keyboard does have a back plate that detaches. As you see here, for those who dare, uh it does reveal a USB type A dongle and a switch to adjust the typing feel between soft and hard.

I acquired the Azoth from a sale that dropped its price down to somewhere about 135$. I'd say it didn't disappoint me to jump into the hobby and explore. Been modding it since and replaced a couple of things. I don't know what's with their switches, but my NX Browns really got extra kick out of a relube job.

This is the keyboard I landed on as well for coding. They need to continue to expand the oled customization. I was disappointed when I couldnt find any third party sites for custom animations, but its a cool little extra feature to have. Typing is pure joy on it.

If there's one keyboard I recommend you spend all your money on, it's definitely the ROG Azoth.

The tradeoff is that its premium price sits beside obvious compromises: a plastic lower case, divisive ROG styling, mixed Armoury Crate feedback, no Hall effect switches, no analog input and no true rapid trigger hardware.
