Logitech G915 X Lightspeed

It's hard to decide since many say it's a great keyboard, while others are saying to avoid it at all costs, and it's not great. I thought I would go wireless, plus I am getting mostly Logitech stuff like a headset and mouse, and I just thought having everything under one software would make it easy since my computer knowledge is very low and I mainly play story games with some FPS games.

Truely an amazing keyboard so far. It is great looking and incredibly thin. I got the clicky version, it is not loud at all. The click sound provides a great feedback and is pretty satisfying. Typing feels so easy on this keyboard. And it doesn't have issue like a lot of other RGB keyboard -- light leaking out from the gap of the keys. I also find the volume wheel very useful.

The G915 is amazing. I had it for half a year and do not have any problems I spend roughly 8hrs a day on pc with this keyboard. And the battery is top tier. I can go about a week on full backlight, about 14 days on medium backlight and a month without a backlight. Apart from it being mechanical and having an amazing battery lifetime, the volume controls come in really handy.

But taking the Logitech G915 X TKL into consideration, they should have released this version instead of the original. Removing the ABS keycaps and placing double-shot PBT, USB Type C for charing and wired connection, and a bit more would be a total banger back then.

I know you may not want to return to the dark side, but for someone not bothering about modding a keyboard and wanting something that works, straight out of the box? If anyone is eyeing off the G915? DON'T! Get the G915 X/G915 X TKL It's a LOT better. The only thing that lets it down? Still no hot swappable switches.

I'm skipping the G915 because everything felt cheap to me when I tried it in the store. From the mediakeys to the volume rocker, to the switches and the keycaps. The Keychron K3 looks awesome since it's much cheaper and has optical switches. I'd definitely look forward if Logitech would make like a 75% layout of the G915 with optical switches similar to Keychron.

From the very first glance, the G915X Lighteed radiates refinement. Unlike many gaming keyboards that lean heavily into garish aesthetics and oversized frames, this keyboard is sleek, minimal, and deliberate in its presentation. The top plate is fashioned from aircraft grade brushed aluminum, lending both visual appeal and structural integrity.

I own Logitech G915X full size keyboard. Aesthetically, it is super nice. But, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT. When i type, it double inputs a key very often. When I type "vehicle" for example, it inputs "vehhicle" or "vehihcle". Not just one key but several keys do this very often. I am a graduate student who types a lot and this is VERY ANNOYING.

It has been one of the worst keyboards I've ever owned. A bow occurred about 6 months into ownership and the middle of the keyboard is raised up from the desk (common issue). The keycaps are low quality and extremely rattly with absolutely no stabilization. The stabilizers are terrible, not lubed and clanky. The switches are good but nothing exceptional.

After gaming on the G915 TKL for a week, I prefer the G PRO because of the raised keys. The G915's low profiles keys just don't feel right to me when gaming. However, I do like typing on the G915, so I'll still keep it. While gaming on the G915, I couldn't tell I was on a wireless keyboard (my G PRO is wired), even when connected via Bluetooth.

The only issue I am encountering is freaking G hub being ass. Pairing mouse to single dongle is nice, sucks it doesn't work with lightspeed before certain software level. Feels much better, having single wire to charge keyboard, mouse and headset (this is a dock cable I use for my work laptop) it really did cleared some space under my desk.

I bought a G915 for work in mid 2020 and am super happy with it. The shortcut keys were a big seller for me along with the wireless capability and tactile low profile keys. I am a GIS analyst and programmer so I use a lot of shortcuts for software and do a lot of typing when writing code.

Almost everything about this keyboard is better than the original, build quality, stability, keycaps, and overall feel. Unfortunately, the actuation point feels noticeably deeper to me, which makes it feel less snappy, especially for gaming. That’s a dealbreaker for me, sadly.
