With AOC Q27G3XMN I also recommend trying local dimming (medium) in SDR content like games or video. It works great for some games especially if you can control game brightness in-game. You get a huge amount of contrast and punch with local dimming enabled but of your course ymmv.

Overall I'm not sure what to think of this monitor. I upgraded from an old TN panel and I didn't find myself especially blown away. I've tried some IPS panels in the past and I remember thinking the colours looked extraordinary, but with this AOC, I'm finding myself quite unimpressed. Contrast ratio is great, and black smearing is a non-issue for me on this monitor, but the colours just seem.

I feel kind of crazy because I can't put my finger on what I don't like about it. I've played with the presets a bit, and while I'm gaming I like the bright, vibrant colors, lack of motion blur/input lag and solid response time. I play Rocket League so it makes a huge difference. I've also been playing Nightreign with my son, and the game really does look great on the screen.
