Alienware AW2725Q
The 4K OLED specification is appealing, but its value gap versus the AW2725D is difficult to defend for most gaming. It makes sense mainly when 4K at this exact size is essential.

Its main advantage is HDMI 2.1 for console gaming, a specialized benefit that does not make it the better value for PC-focused high-refresh gaming. Faster-moving 1440p options offer a more broadly useful gaming package.

The Dell Alienware AW2725Q is a top-tier pick for stunning visuals and performance at 4K. This display is an update to our last pick for a best 4K monitor, which also happened to be an Alienware 27 inch. Unlike that monitor, this display uses an upgraded QD-OLED panel and a faster 240Hz refresh rate. It also features a refreshed design from the brand, which is slightly more minimal, but still appealingly contoured with a sci-fi inspired design. The short version is that it should fit in with more gaming setups than ever before and provide an upgraded gaming experience compared to the majority of monitors below its price point and even some above.Read D Decisión Informada Decisión Informada · 38.2K subscribers · Sept 2026

Great 6 month review update on the AW2725Q. Its a great monitor given its price. With that being said have you encountered any coil whine or any noise on the monitor while using it? Dell currently lists it as a 27-inch 4K QD-OLED model and covers it through its Alienware monitor support programme, which includes burn-in protection on QD-OLED panels. **Our verdict:** Buy this over the ASUS when the price difference matters more than having the most complete specification sheet.Read X
The Alienware AW2725Q is a 27-inch 4K monitor using a fourth-gen QD-OLED panel. It boasts a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. We loved it in our review, and dubbed it "the best." So, when it's $200 off, it's well worth taking a look.Read J

I recently upgraded to an Alienware AW2725Q from an Asus VG27AQ and wow what a difference. The Asus is a great monitor in its own right, but these rich colors, crazy smooth gameplay are just on a different level. Pairs perfectly with a series X.View post G
The AW2725Q is a fantastic high-density 4K OLED that doesn’t break the bank the way most 4K panels do. Dolby Vision at this price is genuinely rare, and the highest pixel density of any Alienware monitor makes text and UI elements razor sharp.Read U

I sold my AW2725Q mainly because of the raised blacks and borked PQ EOTF issue that Dell never bothered to fix via firmware update. But other than that, I've had great luck with my AW3225QF ( which is for my secondary rig while the PG27UCDM is for my main ). It still to this day is one of the best monitors I've ever owned. Not bad for a Dell Alienware monitor. OP, it happens to the best of us.Read thread R
In conclusion, the Alienware AW2725Q is an exceptional monitor for gamers who demand the best in visual quality and performance. Its high pixel density, fast refresh rate, and excellent HDR make it ideal for gaming. However, its price may not make it the best fit for everyone, especially if you're not looking for cuttingedge performance. If you're an avid gamer or content creator seeking the best clarity and immersion, this monitor could be worth the investment.Watch R
I actually have both the AW2725Q and AW3225QF. I bought the AW2725Q because 27" was that was the sweet spot for FPS games (as well as the insane PPI). It was to replace my 32" OLED. However, I noticed the raised blacks and gamma really early. It's most noticeable when you have HDR on. The workaround is to crank the contrast up via Nvidia Control Panel (or AMD).Watch I Instagram Instagram post
The tradeoff is clear: brightness is a recurring weakness in brighter rooms, and Alienware trims convenience features like KVM, USB-C display input, and DisplayPort 2.1. For gamers who care most about image quality and speed, that compromise makes sense. For mixed laptop workflows or sunlit setups, it is easier to question.View post N
Since it is a high-end combination of 4K, QD-OLED, and 240Hz, it is aimed at those who value both visual beauty and gaming performance. However, at this price point, you should not judge it by the monitor alone. If your PC's GPU performance is insufficient, you may not be able to fully utilize the 4K high refresh rate.Read T
At first, I was underwhelmed. Ninety percent of what I do at my desk is work, and you don’t really need a 240Hz OLED for Google Docs, Slack, and browser tabs. The OLED’s perfect black levels, infinite contrast, and bold colors did make watching YouTube videos a lot nicer, but that’s not really a big part of my job.Read J
I found that the monitor has serious bugs, which can not support RGB color through HDMI connected, and when you switch on YCBCR color to DP (PC) input and back to HDMI (mac), RGB color will be switched automatically.Watch
