When it works, it prints ABS as easily as PLA. No warping, no splitting, even on large functional parts with sharp corners. PET CF has also printed cleanly and without issues. For this kind of printing, the chamber is a huge advantage and the overall thermal environment is noticeably better than typical hobby printers.

It has some other improvements too and definitely I can see improvements compared to the previous printers XMax 3 or even plus 4 but I will talk about them later. I also really like the extruder assembly because it's a direct drive extruder and it already has hardened steel gears, so you don't have to upgrade those later. So, one thing I left out was the way the extruder design is made.

Buy Q2 or Plus 4 without hesitation, I don't regret my decision at all. For the price of 700$ or 600€ in my country I got absolute unit of a printer.

This new model directly replaces the AQ1 Pro released last year and for which I had a rather mixed opinion So when Qidi contacted me to see if I wanted to test this new model I was rather cautious A printer capable of melting filament up to 370°C in a closed enclosure heated by a 280W PTC resistor it sounds almost too good to believe In fact, it was this argument that made me fall in love with it.

Reliability: With 2,200 hours so far, I rarely encounter failed prints due to printer faults. It is comparable to other top brands.

Um, if you've got one of these, this is a cracking printer. Um, for several reasons, but mainly for me, heated chamber. That's nice. But also, it's a nice big plate. Now, the plate does say 280x 280 on there. It's not 280 x 280. It's a little bit less than that. And you can see that down here, 270x 270x 256. So, you've got nice room to play with on there. Right. So, let's crack on then.

CheeTech is cheaper than both of those printers. The combo is cheaper than both of those printers. The build volume is bigger on the Chee tech Q2. It has an active heated chamber. The unboxing experience was pleasant. It was good. The machine was well packed to ensure no damage during transit and getting it on the bench took all of 5 minutes. It was a fairly simple process. The CheeTech Q2 can actively heat its chamber to 65° C, which is a major advantage when printing materials that are more sensitive to temperature changes. This can help improve layer bonding and reduce issues such as warping with materials like ABS, PC, and reinforced filaments. Then there's the hot end.

Well, when a key part melts (relay board for chamber heater) and z-offset/leveling is so poor with abs or other hot chamber material as to etch the bed. It can leave a bald taste. I had those issues, but resolved them with time and money (Qidi sent replacement relay board and I installed a Beacon probe). It was supposed to be compatible with Qidi box but that is. Barely.

I was really happy to see that mine came with this riser. So, I just assembled it, didn't have to print for multiple hours, and I had this riser that solves a lot of these problems. So, it raises the glass cover by a couple of cm. You can put the glass cover on top of it. And then without moving this glass cover, you can open and close these vents really easily.
