The first thing that stands out is just how easy the ecosystem of Bamboo Labs is to use. Everything works together seamlessly. The slicer, the mobile app, and the printer itself. I can honestly say that none of the other printers I've reviewed or owned are as easy to use. It's like Bamboo Lab is the Apple of cell phones. But again, for the price, I'm actually very impressed with everything about how this printer is built. is actually quite heavy. So, this is a pretty decently heavy uh printer, and it does that because it's mostly made out of metal. All of these parts are custom extruded aluminum. The actual print, like these gray parts are uh plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap. It's a very premium feeling product.

I found both of these gave me the same exact print quality though. From my functional prints that I would do like Gridfinity bins, the A1 had no problems with it. I also tried the A1 with and without the cryo grip plate, had no issues with adhesion on it, even using the other plate on it. You can choose to get the AMS light for either of these. I just kept using the A1 without the AMS light.

If you're looking for a fast multicolor printer, the Bambu Lab A1 with AMS light is a great option. This is a bed slinger style, which means the bed moves back and forth, and of course the print head goes up and down and side to side. This is super reliable.

Many cardboard spools fall outside the AMS spec (50–68mm hub width, 197–202mm outer diameter). Even slight mismatches cause intermittent feed failures that appear random but are actually consistent.

The biggest drawback to the A1 Mini is the compact build plate on it just has a 180 mm cubed, which makes it really compact. So, if you're working with a limited space, this will be great because it is a bed slinger, the bed moves back and forth, the print head moves up and down and side to side, but it's really only a little bit smaller than the footprint of the actual full-size A1.
