The budget P1S lacks the robust build platform of the standard P2S and receives fewer firmware updates, making it less reliable over time. Buyers looking for longevity should opt for the P2S or X2D instead.

At this point, I think 3D printing as a whole is simply a more approachable hobby than it ever used to be, and I fully believe that Bambu Lab is one of the main reasons. Before Bambu Lab entered the market, the hobby was screaming out for a fully automated 3D printer with a gentle learning curve.Read T
The P2S definitely wins in this category, being 7 dB quieter, and it just sounds less harsh. There's no knocking noise. Let's talk about the monitoring. There's at least two types. The actual camera that you can view through the app on a phone, tablet, or computer, and there's the AI monitoring completely handled by the printer. Watching the live stream from the P1S is painful.Watch D
My model is the Bambu Lab P1S Combo with the AMS (Automatic Material System), and we love it. I wanted something that would work well out of the box without requiring extensive setup or calibration, and I heard that the P1S doesn't need calibration out of the box—which turned out to be true.Read H
This means that you can reach higher build area temperatures for more intensive materials like ASA and other filaments that require specific temperatures to print. The fact that this printer is enclosed also means that it is contained within a smaller footprint. So even on this desk, you can see that the AMS plus the printer itself takes up a lot less space.Watch H
If 3D printing is a planned income stream and not just a weekend hobby, this is the machine the math eventually justifies. The enclosed build, AMS multicolor, large build volume, and remote monitoring through the built-in camera all earn their place at this price point.Read I

That’s exactly why the Bambu Lab P1S keeps showing up in serious buying conversations. Bambu says it’s built to get running in about 15 minutes, with an enclosed body, built-in camera, AMS compatibility for multi-color printing, and up to 20,000 mm/s² acceleration.Read B
It feels like sandpaper, but it's also slightly sticky. I've never felt anything like this before. And it seemed to work just as well as the regular textured build plate in my simple test, except the heated bed was running 25 degrees cooler than the recommended settings for the textured plate.Watch A
The Bambu Lab P1S 3D Printer is about as easy as this hobby can get, with simple setup, one-button printing from an app, auto-leveling, and a four-spool AMS, it'll be hard to stop printing.Read M
You can see the extruder in there and as a result of that, they are all absolutely capable of printing TPU, whether that be Bambu Lab TPU or something like this SainSmart. The thing to understand though is whilst they can print, they cannot do it via the AMS module.Watch C

The Bamboo Lab P1S and the X1 Carbon are both fantastic printers, but they're missing something that can make printing certain filaments way easier. They don't have active chamber heating and they don't have active internal recirculating air filtration systems. Yeah. Well, today we're going to fix that. At least on my P1S here. What's especially cool is that this isn't just a Bamboo Lab mod.Watch E

The Bamboo Lab P1S arrives as a fully enclosed 3D printing powerhouse that brings professional-grade engineering directly to your desktop. One of the best things about this machine is how easy it is to set up and start printing right out the box. The user interface is straightforward and intuitive. I got to say, it's a pretty surreal experience to see something come to life from absolutely nothing. And yeah, this is a pretty cool little boat piece here. Although a lot of people crap on it. Now that everything is up and running, it is time to move the printer to my new workshop.Watch I

The reliability of the printer has been absolutely outstanding. We have had absolutely zero mechanical faults. Any issues that we have run into the booth printer have been purely user error. Things such as not cleaning the build plate or storing our filaments correctly. But the machine itself has had zero errors. I definitely will say I am pretty happy with how compact this thing is. It is slightly smaller build volume than the X-Maxx 3, but oh my gosh, size-wise, it's a pretty big difference in volume that it takes up. So, pretty happy with how compact it is. Fancy sticker sheet. This out first. Looks like all the small accessories you'll need. And here is the AMS module for multiple colors.Watch T
And the thing's been awesome. And just a little disclaimer there, Bambu Labs did not send me anything. They didn't send me any filament, they didn't send me a printer, nothing. The last time we did we got about 7 hours and the printer head just stopped, mid layer, on a 10 hour print.
