The Huion Kamvas 13 Tablet Display is one of kind pen display with midrange price but par with most of the premium displays in the market. Since it's relatively cheaper than some of the similar spec pen displays out there I surprised to find the build quality as well as the responsiveness of the display.

I love my Huion tablets. I've had ZERO issues with any of the displays, stylus' or their drivers. I'm a digitizer for machine embroidery designs which just like any other digital artist, we need accuracy. I have used other drawing programs and pen pressure has never been an issue either. I hope this helps.

This is the best tablet for graphic design work if you’re moving up from a screenless model and want accurate color without paying studio prices. Skip it if you need a standalone device for coffee-shop sessions, since it must tether to a computer.

The tablet feels pretty good quality wise, while also not being too overly heavy. According to the website, it weighs 980g, or about 2.1lbs. So underneath the tablet, after removing the paper divider, there's the pen and the tablet stand. The pen itself feels quite nice and the size and shape is good, though it's a little bit lighter than what I'm used to. I'll try it more later!

With five shortcut buttons and two dials, the Kamvas 13 (Gen 3) beats the wacom one 14 hands down in this area. If you value using keyboard shortcuts, then this may be the deciding factor for you.

Opening up the protective sleeve for the tablet, you'll see this nice matte screen for the Kamvas 13 Gen 3. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it feels slightly more textured than the previous Kamvas 13. I'll put that aside for now. Underneath the tablet, we have the tablet stand.

I give this tablet a 4.7 out of 5 stars overall. It is a great size and easy to set up. My only problem with it was I was unable to connect it to my mac without an hdmi adapter.

I'm pretty new to digital drawing, so only have a pen tablet to compare it to, but I'm very impressed with it. Definitely 5/5 stars!

Frequently asked questions

It ranks #9 (D tier) on our consolidated drawing tablets board, drawn from 16 cited sources across 14 outlets.

Nobody we can recommend over the alternatives, though it is not a bad tablet. The verdict calls it a budget screen tablet with sharp visuals and accurate pen input for professionals on a tight budget, but it sits in D tier on our board with only two research runs behind it, so the evidence is thin. Buy the XP-Pen Artist 12 3rd instead: it is the A tier budget pick with far more reviewer support.

The XP-Pen Artist 12 3rd for a budget pen display, or the Huion Kamvas Pro 13 if you want to stay with Huion. Both are in A tier. The Huion Kamvas Pro 13 adds a 10-point multi-touch screen and has excellent pen accuracy, which makes it the better version of what the Huion Kamvas 13 offers.

Because it appeared in only two research runs, not because reviewers found faults. No cons were recorded and the strengths are real: a sharp 12.3-inch display, accurate pen input, a tilt sensor and 8192 pressure levels. A product with so little coverage cannot climb the board, so the ranking says more about how rarely it is recommended than about how it draws.

Yes, a tilt sensor is listed among its strengths, alongside 8192 pressure levels. Tilt lets you shade with the side of the pen the way you would with a pencil, and it is a feature some cheaper tablets leave out.

Yes. It is a pen display, so it mirrors your computer's screen and the art software runs on the computer. Install the Huion driver for your operating system before first use.
