With its industry-first lifting technology, powerful suction, and chic design, the Dreame X50 Ultra is a stand-out choice for day-to-day cleaning. It cleans more thoroughly than many others we have tested, and vacuums and mops a variety of floor types easily. Its only major drawbacks? The higher (but well-deserved) price point and noise levels.Read Q QuietTrends Sophia Brooks · reviewer · Jul 2026

A handful of other premium robot vacuums offer similar features, but this Dreame bot offers perhaps the most complete package on the market right now, and it's bolstered by excellent cleaning performance too. On test, it offered thorough vacuuming and superb mopping. Our tester was especially impressed with how well it cleaned the edges of rooms, on account of its extending side brush and mop pad are to thank for this. Considering that edge cleaning is one of the most common flaws we find when testing robot vacs such as the Roborock Q7 M5, that's a win.Read E

However, I forgave the size once I saw it in action. With 20,000Pa of suction power, it gives the Dyson 360 Vis Nav a run for its money, leaving both hard floors and carpeted areas spotless (as it should for £1,199). It’s also great at avoiding obstacles – its AI-powered camera spots and helps the vacuum avoid 200 common obstacles, including cables and shoes, while its retractable leg means it can breeze over thresholds and onto thick rugs.Read S
And this right here is Dreamy's latest flagship robot vacuum, the X50 Ultra. It just made Time's list of best inventions of 2025. And for the first time ever, it's on sale for Black Friday at its lowest price yet. It is almost 50% off. It's got 20,000 PA of suction power. It's got retractable legs that literally lift over obstacles. a lowprofile versal lift design that fits under low height furniture and a five-year warranty for long-term peace of mind.Watch E

Dreamy's latest robot vacuum, the X50 Ultra Complete, sets a new standard for robot vacuums, offering a litany of genuinely useful features and excellent cleaning results. If you can stretch your budget to buy the X50, you won't be disappointed in its value proposition. It's fantastically lowmaintenance, thorough, and features all of the bolts and whistles you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum. The app is easy to use, and the results speak for themselves.Watch S

Today I'm going to do a threemonth update and show you why I absolutely love the Dream X50 robot vacuum cleaner. I've been using it in my house for 3 months now. I absolutely love it. And it's even on sale. It's $1,300. Normally it was $1,600. That is a really good price. I bought this with my own money.Watch G
The entire process is remarkably smooth, even somewhat graceful. It effortlessly cleared the 4 cm high obstacle we set up, but its capabilities extend far beyond this.Watch M
The Dreamy X50 Ultra was one of the first robots to really push obstacle climbing beyond standard thresholds, and it performs well in homes with transitions between rooms. The Moosoo V50 Ultra Complete takes a very similar approach with its Step Master Obstacle Crossing System. Using bio-inspired wheels that allows it to climb obstacles up to 6 cm in height. In real-world testing, both robots are very impressive, but I did find that the Moosoo is slightly more confident, shall I say, when approaching taller thresholds or obstacles, and even like furniture obstacles. It tends to commit to the climb rather than backing away and trying an alternative route. Kind of like a confident warrior, if you will.Watch M

So, if your floors are a battlefield by 6 p.m., the X50 is the one that earns its keep. Now, mopping. Both pop their mops off at the dock, scrub them with hot water, and dry them so they don't go funky. Both refill the robot's tank automatically. On paper, almost identical. In real use, the X50 applies more consistent pressure and extends the left arm to hug edges a bit better, which shows on dried spills and along baseboards. The L50 mops well, too, but the consistent feedback is that you have to crank the water setting up to get a properly clean pass on dried-on stuff.Watch T

That's a tangible time-saver compared to older models that would repeatedly jam on a rug edge or need you to lift them onto a rug manually.Watch S
While a 500 Pascal gap is negligible on hard floors, the X50 Ultra provides that needed to pull microscopic dust and heavy debris from deep within long fiber carpets. Regarding movement, the X50 Ultra introduces the Versa Lift sensor. This allows the robot to retract its lidar tower, lowering its total height to just 8.9 cm. This low profile enables it to glide under sofas and beds that the L50 Ultra with its fixed tower simply cannot reach.Watch K
Luckily, the X50 Ultra surprised me.Watch

As for its cleaning, it's great on larger debris like Rice Krispies and can give a large room a good clean, but it fell down on finer dust and debris on carpet, so it's probably best for keeping on top of mess, rather than as your sole cleaner. It also took a few passes to get all the pet hair, but it was particularly good at reaching into crevices and corners on hard flooring, thanks to its side brush. It also mopped well with minimal smearing.Read T
However, the L50 Ultra actually climb slightly higher single vertical steps, edging out the X50 by a small margin.Watch M
That said, it’s the only robot vacuum on the market that can leap up ledges of this height (up to 6cm), so it’s a unique product that demands a steeper price. When you’re shopping you should consider that this is an ever-evolving industry, and the features that we find on robot vacuums today will very likely trickle down into cheaper robot vacuums in time. Today is not that day, however.Read S

I didn't even have the X50 for TWO WEEKS before I am getting error issues. So far.it can't attach the mop pads itself and it has a hard time finding the dock. I reached back out to customer service who said to ship it back to them for repair. So I am expected to continue wasting my time and money to drive into town and ship their faulty machines back to them? I asked if I could just return it for a refund and be done with them. They have refused. They offered me a 50% refund and that is the best they can do.even though I wouldn't be asking for the refund if their products worked as advertised. BEWARE!Read F
As we can see, the L50 and X50 perform considerably worse than the X40 when cleaning the dark blue carpet with its soft pile. Regardless of the main brush used, the X40 was able to vacuum up 61% of the test dust, while the L50 and X50 only managed 50%. A first indication that one shouldn't put much stock in pure Pascal figures. Dream rates the L50 at 198,500 pascals and the X50 at 20,000 pascals, while the X40 is rated at 12,000 pascals. The new main brushes and the redesigned cleaning head certainly also contribute to the poorer results.Watch D r/Dreame_Tech u/SchonHen · owner
