I just realized that this upgrade kit actually has an adapter that they've included for the original buyers of the Centauri Carbon one that do not have the port in the back for the Canvas system or the multi-color system. There is a plug that they've included that you can plug in to the underside of the printer that's an extension cable that will allow you to connect this to the Canvas system.

Wow, it's solid. It's got this diecast aluminum frame which feels incredibly sturdy and it comes almost completely assembled. This isn't a weekend IKEA project. This is a plug itin and go machine. Assembly is a strong word for this. It's more like finishing touches. First, the display just mounts right here on the front. Two screws, one cable. Done. Next, we feed the filament.

This, my friends, is the best clone in history. It's better than this clone. Definitely better than this clone. And it's okay. Well, it's not as good as these. So, Chinese companies have really nailed the art of cloning. I don't mean like Dolly the Sheep that you just saw. I mean like cloning things that are products.

And I really like the print volume at 256 mm cubed, which would be perfect for most of the things I want to print. Some people did complain about the internal lighting, but that was corrected, and it's now with much better lighting in the new ones that they're shipping. Now, let's look at some of the things that I printed right out of the box after I set it up.

And I highly recommend this printer. I don't make nothing off of it. I don't get anything if you buy it, but I do highly recommend it. Unless you buy it from Amazon, then of course I have an affiliate link for Amazon. but create the future as it says on the side. Yes, wonderful machine. The Centuri Carbon has been really solid. I've done backtoback prints. I've done, you know, prints that have taken like 18, 19 hours, and I mean, they've just come out fine. uh everything about the machine like the hardware in it like belts, rails, things like that have had no no problem. Um it's been an easy just click print and let it go type of situation.

I do really like the original Centauri Carbon for what it is. It's a pretty basic, cheap, reliable Corxy 3D printer. Got a good build volume of 256 mm in every dimension. The only downside here is that it never came with a multicolor option.

You gain colour changing. You gain filament runout failover. But you also gain more waste, more complexity, and you lose the ability to use the original lid properly once the module is installed.

One thing I noticed right off the bat was that this thing is loud. Like sitting in an airplane before takeoff loud. I think you get the point. After calibration was over, I loaded up some Sunloo high-speed PLA and began printing the pre-installed beni. On close inspection, the benie turned out well considering the sub 20-minute print time.

They promised an AMS system when it first came out. However, that does not seem like it's going to happen anymore. Releasing another printer in just less than a year called the Centuri Carbon 2. You know, it doesn't bode well as well. Personally, I got the Centuri Carbon because I wanted the AMS system as well.
