It also comes down to how few problems I’ve had while using the Pimax Crystal Super. It can be a bit to get everything set up, but once it is this headset has been easy to use consistently. I had one issue where controller tracking stopped working, and it was fixed with a simple restart. It’s yet to bother me with any issues while I’m actually in a game, and it’s always my neck and head that times out before anything else.

Well, it kind of does. Pimax are calling this the first retina level VR headset with a resolution of 3840 by 3840 per eye which is just mindbending. That is almost 30 million pixels inside this VR headset. Over double what you'd get in a big screen beyond 2 and over triple the Quest 3.

So, um, I ordered the micro lid after doing some seeing some of the videos and they got me quite excited, especially the whole thing around micro lead, the real blacks and all that sort of stuff. And some of it might have been um a, how does one put it? It might be a little bit of glitter rather than precious metal. Um, but but I it got my interest. Um, I used the Quest 3. I like the Quest 3.

I still like this headset a lot, but unfortunately, those advantages turn out to be more of a theoretical advantage. But, let me go into detail.

Pimax Light does get warm, but it felt like the Crystal Super felt a little warm on my face after playing for a while. And the last thing I want to note about the Super is this thing is currently going for almost $1,800. So, it is really pricey. I wish this thing was a little bit more affordable, but if you're looking for a premium VR experience when it comes to visuals and quality and you have the money, it's a pretty good experience
