The HP OmniBook 7 Aero has a chiclet keyboard that feels good to type on. It’s got a nice white backlight, too. The typing action feels reasonably snappy and responsive. But there’s something a little off about it: the key travel is a little shallow. That’s not a huge surprise for a 2.2-pound laptop that is 0.67 inches at its thickest point. HP has compensated well for the thinness, but it does feel a little shallow.

There’s a lot to like with the HP OmniBook 7 Aero, from its portability and somewhat unique look to its surprisingly robust performance. I would definitely recommend it as one of the best laptops out there for anyone wanting a lightweight Windows laptop to take on the road.

The OmniBook 7 Aero 13 is an almost ideal subnotebook for constant travelers who want to carry as light as possible without sacrificing too much in terms of performance or quality. The AMD Zen 5 CPU in particular is excellent considering the size and weight of the system.

The HP OmniBook 7 Aero for 2025 in that ceramic white is absolutely gorgeous! Sure, it doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of other laptops costing up to four times more but at this price for what you get, I would say it's a steal of a price! My advice is to get this while it's on sale if you want a decent laptop for under a thousand dollars! Great find Andrew! Bravo to you my friend!

This laptop is a star in productivity. Yes, this laptop is not for heavy gaming and also not for really heavy video editing and 3D rendering. Poor laptop. So for fairly heavy games, it's still possible, but with adjusted settings. You just have to know and comprehend. Well, every laptop has its own market, its own, its own, its own.

I rather enjoyed my time with the HP OmniBook 7 Aero more than I expected. It has enough power to keep up with my average workday and sufficient battery life to last around 10-12 hours on a single charge. The only major drawbacks to the OmniBook 7 Aero are its dull, lifeless display and expensive upgrades. However, it's a great deal if you can get it on sale or if you're willing to opt for the Ryz

Here's how the 1440p webcam looks and sounds on the OmniBook 7 Aero. We feel that it does look pretty good, but this is in optimal lighting conditions. Here's how the 1440p webcam looks with overhead lighting and it does feature IR for Windows Hello. Now, let's talk performance. Our unit comes with a Ryzen 7 350 processor and has the option for a Ryzen 5 340.
