To evaluate the Dell XPS 14’s real-world capabilities, I ran our standard mix of browser, productivity, content creation, AI workloads, graphics, gaming, and battery benchmarks. For this review, our team also rounded-up an array of laptop systems we had on-hand, reset and refreshed all of them, and fully updated the systems with the latest UEFIs, firmware, and Windows Updates.Read N
The Dell XPS 14 looks spectacular and proves enjoyable to use, but I didn’t like it as much as the Asus ExpertBook Ultra, which is lighter and has a better keyboard. Still, the new Dell XPS 14 might be for you if you’re all-in on Thunderbolt 4, or you crave Windows laptop with an elegant and refined look.Read N
The XPS series has gone through some bumps on the road, but the latest Panther Lake XPS 14 puts the family back on track to be a much easier recommendation than any recent predecessor.Read

The Dell XPS 14 (2026) stands out as the most well-rounded Dell laptop you can buy, driven by its impressive Intel Core Ultra X 300 series processor and a striking 2.8K OLED display that makes everything from spreadsheets to streaming look vibrant and crisp. The combination of 32GB RAM and the Core Ultra X7 358H in our review unit saw this machine handle demanding multitasking with ease. In hands-on use, it powered through workdays packed with browser tabs and even the occasional light gaming session, never once feeling sluggish. This is more than just a spec sheet leader; it delivers in real-world daily use.Read H
Not only does the XPS 14 battery life SHOCK (more than 40 hours!) but its price and even some performance aspects make it a really interesting option for everyday users.Watch P
Dell’s XPS 14 is an elite ultraportable done right. The laptop's premium materials look and feel the part, its performance is potent on Intel’s Panther Lake platform, and its battery life holds up even in our test configuration with an OLED touch screen. Dell’s practicality-focused refinements have pushed the XPS design forward, leaving its limited port selection as the only major compromise, one common among thin-and-light performance laptops.Read T
XPS is back and it's better than ever. Let me give you a full walkthrough of the new XPS 14. As I bash myself in the face, 14 and 16. I'm here in New York City at the Dell Preview event.Watch T
Our budget picks, the MacBook Neo and Dell XPS 13 , suit everyday tasks, while models such as the MacBook Air M5 and Dell XPS 14 are stronger all-round choices. Gaming and professional creative laptops cost more because they need faster components, more memory and better cooling. Prices and discounts change regularly, so compare the current configurations and avoid treating a temporary deal as a permanent price point.Read V
Today I'm like super duper excited because as you can see, I got my hands on a brand new gen laptop. And in fact, I've been waiting for this particular model since quite some time. If you guys remember, just a couple of months back, Intel launched their Panther Lake laptops, right? Powered by Intel's Core series 3 platform.Watch S
The new XPS 14 is proof Dell can take user complaints on the chin and come back even stronger. The firm has directly addressed the old model’s biggest pain points, reversed an unnecessary rebrand, and stepped up on power courtesy of Intel’s latest CPUs. This is a powerful yet long-lasting ultraportable with a simply gorgeous screen. It looks and feels like a thoroughly modern machine too.Read A
They're back on track. They've done the things they needed to do to make the XPS great again. Yes, I think they did. Of course, not perfect. There are some things they can improve on, but we're on the right track. Now, that being said, I have two versions here. Uh the one over here, and you can see it uh on the left is the tandem OLED version. Obviously, 14in display.Watch B
The tradeoffs, no HDMI, a shallow keyboard, and an OLED brightness spec that testing does not fully support, are real and worth knowing. They are also manageable for the right buyer. For professionals who need a premium Windows ultrabook and can live with a Thunderbolt hub, the XPS 14 (2026) is the strongest option in this category right now.Read Z
The Dell XPS 14 has been improved to the point where I can easily say it is the best XPS Dell have ever created.Watch 9
The Dell XPS 14 feels like a comeback done right. It's sleek, seriously portable at 1.36kg, and backs that up with a gorgeous 120Hz OLED that makes both work and binge sessions equally enjoyable. The new Intel Core Ultra X7 chip keeps things fast and fluid for everyday tasks and creative work, while battery life holds up impressively well.Read T
The Dell XPS 14 laptop is the most customizable and scalable 14-inch laptop of 2026, and one of the best all-around options for work, school, AI, content creation, and even some gaming!Watch D
This is the most beautiful laptop there is agree 100% (XPS's have always been special in this regard) and it's a great laptop overall, just loses the value for money battle to the MBP when you go to the higher specs. But if aesthetics and solid/ultra premium feel are priorities, this is by far the best Windows laptop out there.Watch T
This is a 2026 Dell XPS 14-in. It is so refined and such an improvement over the previous generation that it blew my mindWatch M
The revamped Dell XPS 14 is a terrific option for well-heeled shoppers who want an extremely elegant and well-made PC — one that looks just as good as an Apple laptop, maybe even better. The upgraded Intel Core Ultra X7 configuration is the best MacBook Pro alternative I've tried.Read N

Dell ships the XPS 14 with a 70 watt-hour battery and boldly claims the laptop can last up to 40 hours on a charge. That claim is only applicable to the versions with the IPS display, however, and was achieved by local playback of a 1080p video file at 150 nits of brightness.Read N

Thus, Dell XPS 14 2026 wins this battle. Also, the Dell XPS 14 2026 has a far better web camera (4k resolution vs 2 MPB 1080p). SGB6 Pro does have the better keyboard experience. This might tip the scale depending on what someone values more.Watch C
From the outside, the XPS 14 can only be described in a single word, premium. It is very low-key, having only the sleek XPS branding and a professional, or dare I say boring, color. It's got a fully aluminum body from top to bottom, and boy is this thing dense. Many laptops have metal bodies, but there lies a real art in having a finish that lines all of those parts up perfectly.Watch T
While we ran our Cinebench 2026 stress test on the XPS 14 laptops, we measured both surface temperatures (with a laser thermometer) and processor temperatures (via internal censors) to get an idea how toasty the systems could get.Read L
Uh so, overall, there's like a big improvement in usability and functionality here. In terms of uh processing power, it's going to be available with Intel Panther Lake uh processor options ranging from a Core Ultra 5 all the way up to a Core Ultra 9 with uh 12 core uh Intel Arc uh graphics.Watch T
The Dell XPS 14 (2026) has a new design that’s sleek, stylish, and sets the revived XPS brand apart from the rest of Dell’s lineup – and it succeeds. This is a great-looking laptop.Read D
The new Dell XPS 14 is exactly what you're looking for. I went with the 14-in model because it offers the perfect balance of portability and power while still offering the high-end Panther Lake performance in a 3-lb frame that actually fits on a small cafe table or an airplane tray. It also avoids the awkward over size footprint of the 16.Watch S
After stumbling in 2025 with its premium laptops, the thin and light XPS 14 is a fantastic entry in the XPS line thanks to its new chassis and powerful Intel Panther Lake processorRead D
The 14-in size is really the ideal laptop size, honestly, unless you just need a much larger display and don't have a monitor to dock it to. There's only three USB-C ports and a headphone jack, so you will need a dongle or a dock for professional workflows, but that's become more of the same across most laptops these days. The build is very reminiscent of a MacBook in many ways.Watch P
Overall, I’m seriously impressed — for anyone after a true “MacBook Pro for Windows,” this is about as good as it gets.Read E
The second you open this thing up, that signature aluminum and glass build just screams premium. It feels incredibly solid, there's no flex, it just has that expensive, well-built feel you're hoping for at this price. But you know, the real magic this year isn't just about how sleek it looks on the outside.Watch A

Everything from gaming to video editing, photo editing, and just basic basic writing and web browsing and streaming and content consumption, all very, very doable on this machine. You won't have any issues here at all. So, I recommend the Dell XPS 14Watch T
But thankfully, someone over at Dell finally came to their senses. Because for 2026, the XPS is back from the dead. And honestly, it looks incredible. Meet the new XPS 14 and 16. These things have been fully upgraded. We are talking a chassis milled from a single block of aluminum. And usually when laptops get this thin, they feel flimsy. But this, rock solid. There is zero flex.Watch S

If I were to judge the XPS 14 based purely on its specs and design alone, it would be my favorite Windows laptop available today. But I swear, I can't live with its keyboard issues. I had to seriously slow down my typing just to get this review written, and even then I still had to back up and make more corrections than usual. Dell is so close to making a PC that's a true MacBook Pro competitor, it's a shame a simple keyboard issue holds the XPS 14 back from true greatness.Read D
To call the Dell XPS 14 controversial is an understatement. The completely redesigned laptop replaces the beloved XPS 15 and introduces some divisive new features, such as the seamless haptic feedback trackpad and capacitive touch buttons to replace the function row of keys. That makes it a nonstarter for many potential buyers, which is understandable. However, in my testing and use of it, I was hWatch J
Thanks again for the great reviews! Recently got the opportunity to test one and I was serieusly let down that they still have a Screen Door Effect on the oled touch panels 😢 Not as worse as others and seems a little bit less noticible than last XPS 14 gen. but still there. I have to stop short of giving the XPS 14 a decisive recommendation for those who want a premium Windows laptop, and the keyboard and trackpad are the two reasons why. People who care about refined build quality most likely also value a satisfying, error-free keyboard and touchpad experience.Read T

As impressive as the X7 chip is on its own, however, performance is lower here than on other laptops I’ve tested with this same chip. The MSI Prestige 14 Flip , an even thinner laptop, was 24 percent faster in CPU and 16 percent faster in gaming.Read C
The XPS 14 absolutely can play games perfectly fine if you lower the settings and lower the resolution by a bit. But to really show how much faster the Zephyrus is in games, I tested them at the same graphical settings. And as you saw, the difference is generational. The XPS's performance absolutely is impressive for a low-power iGPU, but it just does not compare to an RTX 3060.Watch Z

It's no secret that I absolutely hated Dell's redesigned XPS 14s and 16s. In my opinion, over the last several years, Dell has taken their larger XPS laptops from some of the best creative ones in the industry to some of the worst.
