We liked the original Anker F3800 , and it actually made last year’s list of the Best Big Power Stations ; however, the F3800 Plus is what the first version should have been. Anker fixed almost every complaint we had with the first release. The Plus version adds a 30A RV outlet and a gas generator twist-lock plug. More importantly, they fixed the solar charging ports, making it much easier to max out its impressive 3,200W solar input.Read S

Have a 3800+ with 1 expansion running the house through the Home Power Panel. Also had a generator cable run down to the basement so I can recharge with the gas generator during an extended outage. Spendy for sure, but we had an outage not long after the install was complete. I didn't notice, the wife noticed when she saw the clock was off on the stove. She understood the investment after that!Watch T

The Anker F3800 Plus is a beast, and we think it rightfully won this Anker vs EcoFlow showdown. It earned more points for real-world functionality, which was mostly thanks to its much larger inverter (6kW), stronger surge performance, higher solar input, higher number of outlets, flexible charging rates (up to 6kW with expansion batteries), and Anker’s much better customer support.Read S

Not only is the power station super capable and full of ports on its own, but Anker has created an ecosystem that makes this a great battery to battle power outages, set up off-grid living, and more. First things first: the Anker F3800 Plus is expensive! It has a retail price of $4,799. It’s a worthwhile investment if you can take advantage of everything it offers, though.Read E

I'm surprised and relieved that I made a good investment. I'm still paying on this generator, but paying over time made it financially manageable for me. I started prepping during the winter, so I'm all set on cold-weather needs. Now, I'm planning for hot weather -- fans, more water for me and the critters, etc.Watch D

But the F3800 also has caster wheels. It sounds small, but those caster wheels does really help you get it into a tight corner. Whereas with the Delta Pro 3, you kind of have to walk it back and forth and almost do like a 16point turn to get it where you want it to go. Splitting hairs here, but for the versatility point, we're going to give that one to anchorWatch P

So, no matter what you need to survive the next storm or crisis, this device will probably handle it. 6000 watts of power, 120 and 240 V output voltage, the ability to combine two such devices to get 12000 watts and, of course, the ability to add batteries for many thousands of watt- hours. I think this is a premium device , and probably the best one I've reviewed on the channel. These things have already become legendary on the internet, and I'm glad I added this to my stashWatch P

Let's say you have a 2500-3200 watt solar station powering this unit, you could use this air conditioner all day and still have enough power for most of the night, especially considering the compressor's cycling. This is what I've been looking for for a long time: a battery and inverter powerful enough to handle all the loads in a motorhome, running all night, combined with solar panels and a generator as a backup power source. And so uh yeah, very very happy with the the unit. Um, it estimates right now under the current load, you know, 1300 watts that I'll have 2 and 1/2 hours of remaining battery. Um, I do aim in the future to buy a second unit. Um, you can buy a second unit over here that has a second breaker to allow two units to power.Watch B Brooks Betts Brooks Betts · 25 subscribers · Jun 2025
My installation of my two Anker Solix F3800 plus units and the Anker Home Power Panel. We bought this instead of the large expense of a standby generator and gives us immediate power failover in a power outage. Quick demo of the failover too. This system provides all critical loads backup and supports up to 12kw output. Also can be charged via generator interlock with a clean power source (like an inverter generator). Also all ready for solar input!Watch

Wow. you just picked up a new subscriber. This was the most thorough review I have seen on this unit. I recently purchased a Ecoflow DP3 to use as a whole house power source and after seeing all the reviews of the new F3800 Plus I was sort of regretting my purchase. But after seeing your review and understanding ALL the Pros AND Cons of this new Anker unit I am more confident of my purchase. There is one thing though the new F3800 Plus can do that my DP3 cannot, and that is by using the generator adapter it can charge from an external 240V source WHILE outputting 240V. My DP3 can only charge from an external 120V source while outputting 240V.Watch T
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Anker F3800 Plus is a solid step up from the original, with improved solar input, a dedicated 30A RV outlet, and a few welcome tweaks to the user interface. If you live in Canada and have a F3800 (normal or plus), Anker just stopped allowing us to buy expansion batteries for the F3800. I asked them why and no good answer came out. Said to buy from Canadian resellers but no clue if those resellers will be out of stock on the BP3800 batteries for the F3800 (normal or plus). So will probably move to Ecoflow next setup I do.Watch D
Seems to be an emerging pain point. I was able to get a permit in SC for F3800+ and HPP and solar panels on roof. Thing is, I didn't include the F3800+ on the permit application, just the HPP and panels. But since the inverter is tied in there that was a question. But Anker gave me their UL certs for the HPP and F3800+ and they seemed to be happy with that.Read C
I put these head to head with westinghouse 12500 watt with a 2.4 gallon propane. The testing ground is a house with 2 fridge, 2 freezers, well pump, 4 ceiling fans and some power outlets (about 5). This lasted about 5 hours. The westinghouse lasted about 8.8 hours with that 1 tank.Watch T
