The Jackery 2000 v2 is the best power station for those who need additional power for multi-day off-grid camping, or for an extended blackout. Recently reduced in price, it can now be found for under $900 on Amazon. At 39 lbs, it is light enough that most people will find it easy to pack and move around, and it is easy to add optional solar recharging. It's our favorite option for extended off-grid camping.Read S

The 2000 v2 nails that sweet spot of ample power and relatively easy portability. When we took all the power stations camping, we never hesitated to move them to where they were needed. Whether it was moving the Starlink to where it gets a better signal or charging the eBikes away from camp, we never hesitated to grab this power station and walk 100 feet.Read O

On the 4th of July we had a power outage, and my Explorer 2000 V2 kept my fridge/freezer going for about 16 hours. My Explorer 1500 powered the coffee maker, then I switched it over to the Router/Modem, and all was well. When my laptop started losing power, I plugged it into my Explorer 500 (my workhorse!) and all was well with the world.Watch O

This is the Jackery Explorer 2000 V2. It's the upgraded model of the old 2000, and it has a 2000 W capacity, but it can output a consistent load of 3000 W and 6000 at peak. So, if you need a lot of power output, this thing does a phenomenal job of outputting a ton of powerWatch

My biggest frustration is how fast it runs down if I don’t shut it off. Ran down from 73 to 50% overnight. Learning to shut it off consistently. However, it turns itself on while charging with the cigarette lighter outlet while the van engine is running. And then it stays on when shutting the engine off. Which means I’m doing something wrong or it needs pretty intense babysitting.Watch T

I bought the Explorer 2000 because I don't want to think about what thing I'm plugging in, and whether the Jackery can handle it. A reason I think it would be a good idea to buy two 1000s is: if someone is on a tighter budget, they could buy one 1000 unit, and then save up for a second one. That might be meaningful to someone who needs the power now but can't afford a 2000 yet.Watch M
The Jackery Explorer 2000 V2 is a portable and powerful system good for overlanding, portable power, and backup UPS power for essential items. But will these quirks keep it from performing properly?Watch D
When it comes to deciding between the Jackery 2000 Plus and the Jackery Explorer 2000 V2, it’s all about your personal needs. Both models have the same Jackery DNA — LFP batteries, sturdy construction, MPPT solar charging — but they’re designed for different types of users. The key to making the right choice is understanding what you need the power station for.Read K
I respect Kenny's judgement but I'm looking forward to more comments as they accumulate to see if others chime in about alternatives to Jackery. The company got a huge push starting a few years ago with all the van-lifer promotions/endorsements (good job, Jackery. Seriously) but there are so many strong competitors out there now.Watch J
I've never liked Jackery, but this is a big improvement EXCEPT the solar input, and I am surprised you didn't knock it for that. That alone makes it a big "no" for me. Great review as usual though.Watch T
