I wonder if it would be wiser to have 2 of these Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 vs. a Jackery 2000plus with an extra battery pack stacked on top to power a refrigerator in a power outage such as a hurricane. I’m thinking one of the 1000 v2 could be solar charging while the other could be powering the refrigerator & then when one is drained it could be swapped out & charge the drained one with solar.

Still using our 500, but moving up to the 1000 v2, the older 100w solar panels and older chargers will not work without an adapter from DC7909 to DC8020. But once I made this change, this is totally our goto.

And I want to sum up the best use cases and the reasons why I think this is the perfect option for like 99% of households. In general, not only is this very handy as a portable power solution for outdoor fun, it can also act as your essential athome lifeline in those worstcase scenarios. It's the right size with plenty of ports and capabilities.

I found the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 way more useful than I expected. Of course, I bring it camping to keep our cell phones charged, power the electric grill and camp lights, and recharge my sleep earbuds in case the sounds of nature keep me awake. I have the 1000 v2 and a 200w solar panel. It is amazing, perfect for me. But then I don’t use a lot of high wattage things. Small coffee pot, small toaster, small micro wave, phone, iPad, small fridge/freezer (has it’s own battery - I just charge it with the Jackery), small fan, small heater. Of course I don’t plug it all in at once 🤣.
