Building off the success of the first generation, the C1000 Gen 2 delivers some of the best performance and value out of any power station we've ever tested. It packs a whopping 2,000 watts of power while weighing just 25.2 lbs, making it a great option for multiple days of off-grid camping or for essential home backup during outages. Our gripes with the new Gen 2 C1000 are minor, mostly pertaining to the removal of the built-in light and the fact that it no longer supports additional battery expansion. Regardless, this power station nails the sweet spot for power, weight, and value.

The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 is the smallest and lightest of the three at 11.3kg. It charges from mains and solar at the same time, prioritises solar, and has the highest solar input of the three at 600W. The settings you actually need are on the unit itself rather than buried in an app, and the screen stays readable in direct sunlight. It feels built for outdoor life in a way the others do not

I want to mention that this device lacks two features from the first generation. First it has no expandable capacity. You can purchase an expansion for the first model to extend battery capacity and the second it does not have a light bar. This screen is really cool, and it's a bit unique, I would say, from any others that I've seen because this is more like a TV screen because they can show whatever they want on here

And along with that, with these outputs you do get a continuous output of 2000 and it can peak up to 3000 W with the C1000 Gen 2 versus the 2000 you get a 2400 W continuous output and it can surge up to 4000 W of peak. And so honestly the continuous output isn't that much more. If you want 400 W of extra continuous, you know, the C2000 is going to give you that. However, this still has a really high output, you know, 2000 W continuous and for a 1000 W power station honestly, that's pretty awesome

And that is accurate, cuz when I weighed them, the Gen 1 weighed 28.2 lb, and the Gen 2 weighed 25 lb. So, it is significantly smaller and lighter, which I think is pretty important, you know, when we're talking about a portable power station, something that you want to take with you on the go, or portability, you know, if you're camping or in the outdoors. It's pretty awesome how small they were able to actually make this as a 1000 W power station

This Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 works really well. It charges incredibly fast—being able to get a full charge in under an hour is a big plus. The 2,000W output is strong enough for most of my backup and camping needs, and the LiFePO4 battery feels safe and reliable. I took off one star only because it’s a bit heavy to move around, but overall it’s a solid, dependable power station that performs exactly as expected. Perfect for home backup or trips

I mean, yes, it doesn't have a light bar, no expansion battery, but for situations like this, for weekend trips, camping where you necessarily do not need those things, this is ideal
