When listened to against their key rivals, the Acoustic Energy are smoother, more refined than almost anything else at this level, with, to quote from our review, "high-frequency sounds shimmer rather than sizzle". The AE300 Mk2 aren't the sort of speakers that immediately grab your attention. Instead, they steadily charm you, revealing themselves to be a superb pair that, if you invest some time, will reward you endlessly.Read R

:) A few yers ago I had the pleasure to listen to the AE300's at the Bristol Hifi show and they were absolutely excellent. The demo track was an energetic (no pun intended) acoustic guitar sample and the texture and tone, as well as the scale of the image was really impressive. They were using an AVI Labratory Series S21 M1 amplifier.Watch H Hi-Fi Riff Hi-Fi Riff · 13.2K subscribers · May 2025

Happily, we have a new entry in the shape of the Acoustic Energy AE300 Mk2 . We haven't had Acoustic Energy speakers in our test rooms for quite some time, but the AE300 have made such an impression that they've ousted the Bowers & Wilkins 607 S3 – multiple What Hi-Fi? Award winners and longstanding favourites – as our pick as the best mid-priced standmounts.Read A
