I’ve watched your Bravia 7 vs. QN90D comparison multiple times and seen both in person (but not side by side), yet I’m still torn. Sony’s accuracy is great, but the QN90D’s glossy screen, contrast, and anti-reflection handling feel like a Bravia 9 competitor (close to oled). Meanwhile, Bravia 7’s matte finish seems to reduce contrast and depth. That said, I could be wrong in my judgment since I ha

After putting the brand's latest display models through my rigorous testing process, the Bravia 7 II True RGB TV stands out as the best Sony TV for most people. It uses Sony's new RGB backlight technology to deliver enhanced color and comes close to matching the performance of Sony's pricier TVs while costing less. Thanks for your direct comparison of these 2 Sony models. I'm glad that the performance of the Bravia 7 Mark II is nearly the same quality as the Bravia 9, because the smallest 65" Bravia 9 is too big to fit anywhere in my home. Even if size was not an issue for me, I'd still opt for the Bravia 7, because I think that overall, it's a much better value for the price.

I'm considering two 65-inch models: the Sony Bravia 7 MiniLED and the LG C5 OLED. The TV will be used solely for watching TV, mainly YouTube, Netflix, etc. I'd appreciate your opinions. Perhaps there are some users of these TVs here. What are the pros and cons? The TV will be in a sunny living room. The viewing distance is between 2 and 3.5 meters.

Look at the Sony BRAVIA 7, Sony’s mid-range Mini-LED offering, which replaces 2023's Sony X93L. Or consider the Panasonic W95A, the mid-range Mini-LED in Panasonic’s 2024 lineup. Panasonic is making a name for itself when it comes to image processing, but is it worth getting the W95A instead of the BRAVIA 7? In this comparison, we explore some of the major differences to find out.

True RGB is the most interesting thing to happen to LED/LCD TVs in years, and the Bravia 7 II shows why. Colour is the star. It is fuller, richer and purer than I expected, never shouty or overblown, just smooth, refined and easy on the eye, with the gradation and shadow detail that pulls you into a film.

The Bravia 9 image is a little more dramatic looking than the Bravia 7 because it keeps the background darker and makes the subject's face pop in the frame, but I think the Bravia 7 image is very good and probably more like what you'd see if you were standing where the camera was.

Either way, at 2200 lumens, the Bravia 7 is 10% brighter on paper, but I don't think you're going to really notice much difference in practice. The real difference is what that newer XR processor can do with the light at its disposal. Like the other models in the range, Sony quotes 20,000 hours for the laser, way longer than a traditional bulb.

However, for real-world use on streaming apps (Netflix, Max, Prime), it is incredibly disappointing. The Dolby Vision processing is either too dim and washed out, or grainy and saturared making compressed streams unwatchable in my living room. Another problem, when I watch apps like Apple+ in Dolby Vision the picture mode is Dolby Vision yet the Picture Settings are in Profesional Mode.
