Sonos has been quietly moving Era 300 inventory on Amazon, and the margin on this deal suggests the brand is prioritizing sell-through over profit. The Era 300 is down to $379, off its $479 list price and at nearly zero margin for Sonos , which puts one of the most technically ambitious standalone speakers on the market within range of a casual impulse buy for anyone already in the Sonos ecosystem.Read D
But going back to this single era 300 speaker, it sounded outstanding with both spatial and non-spatial audio tracksWatch B
The Era's needed to get setup first - one after the other - and I was so impressed by the sound that I considered returning the subwoofer. I decided against that and I am happy that I did. When I added the Sub Mini the whole system sounded fuller, better more beautiful. Setting up the Sub Mini took a little back and forth and required a call to the Sonos helpdesk but nothing complicated.Read G Geek Street Geek Street · 638K subscribers · Sept 2025

The Era 300 is not a background-music speaker, and it is not trying to be, so anyone looking for something subtle for a kitchen or bedroom will find better options elsewhere at a lower price point. For everyone else, a $100 saving brings one of the most spatially convincing speakers on the market down to $379, making a genuinely premium purchase feel a little more like a reasonable one.Read T TechMagnet TechMagnet · 469K subscribers · Jul 2023
The Era 300 and Era 100 feel like the start of a new Era for Sonos. Bluetooth and line-in support makes them more versatile and spatial audio coupled with home cinema functionality make the Era 300 a must have for a modern dolby atmos home cinema SetupWatch S
We think the Era 300 (buy now) is the best Sonos speaker you can buy. Its big draw, beyond its unusual form factor, is its ability to offer immersive, room-filling sound, thanks to support for spatial audio in the form of Dolby Atmos Music. The result is rich sound, a wide soundstage, and punchy bass, all presented in tight, crisp clarity.Read A

If you want the best speaker for your home, we'd recommend the newer Sonos Era 300 over the Sonos Five. It has Bluetooth connectivity, spatial audio and is smaller and lighter than the Five. But if spatial audio isn't a deal-breaker for you and you want loud, detailed and powerful sound, it's an older but good option.Read 6
I've been so transfixed by this speaker and the listening experience you get with it. For me, it has absolutely been worth the $449 Sonos charges for itWatch T

-- \rSo the new Sonos Era 300 is a very impressive dolby atmos smart speaker with a very interesting speaker set up. But the Era 300 is pretty big and it is a little pricey. But today, let's see how the Sonos Era 300 stacks up to other very popular and great sounding smart speakers like the Apple HomePod Gen 2 and the Bose Smart Speaker 500Watch W
The Award-winning Sonos Era 300 is our top pick when it comes to spatial audio, so if that's a priority for you, this Sonos smart speaker should be at the top of your list, too. This $2,500 Sonos configuration, which includes the Sonos Beam Gen 2 Sub Mini N2 Era 300, isn't bad either. In fact, I'm pleasantly surprised by how well the Aera 300 works. And after learning how well the Aera 300 works with the Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Sub Mini, I can only imagine how much better the sound will be when used with the Sonos Arc and a full-size Sonos subwoofer. And as my verdict, whether you use it as a standalone speaker, a pair of speakers, or use the Aer 300 as part of your surround sound system, the Ara 300 comes highly, highly, highly recommendedWatch C
Arc sounds really great by itself — better than most bars I’ve tested. But I also appreciate that it’s very easy to add the Sonos Sub into the system if you decide you need a bit more .Read P

Oh, the convenience factor is fantastic. So, Sonos, thank you for finally listening on that. This does have a built-in microphone and there's a couple little microphone pinholes in the top where it can listen to you. The ERA 300 speakers are equipped with special drivers that are directed forwards, to the sides, and upwards. This allows the sound to spread throughout the entire room, reaching every corner. The spatial effects are so realistic that during a film I feel like I'm part of the movie. I can hear footsteps behind me, the sound of rain overhead, and the music surrounds me from every direction.Watch T Taga Reviews Taga Reviews · 9.8K subscribers · Sept 2026
When you bring home the black Sonos Era 300 speaker, you immediately notice its unique shape, which looks more like a piece of modern art than a piece of technology. Setup is quick and easy via the app, which guides you through the process step by step. When it starts working, the sound is truly impressive thanks to six built-in speakers that fill the room with deep, rich sound.Watch E
Performance in real world use, the Sonos Era 300 delivers what many speakers struggle with, immersive spatial clarity. When streaming Dolby Atmos content, you can genuinely feel the separation between vocals, instruments, and effects. The speaker fires sent out not just forward, but sideways and upward, creating a 3D audio bubble that fills medium to large rooms with ease.Watch

When Bell told Dan he'd be covering the new Sonos Era 300 and 100 speakers, Dan was excited to tear Sonos apart for their wild pricing compared to the okay performance a lot of their speakers offer, but after sitting down and listening to their newest offerings, he may have to admit that Sonos has a potential hit on their hands.Watch E Engadget Engadget · 1.4M subscribers · Mar 2023
The Era 300 from Sonos is the company's first music speaker focused on playing tracks in spatial audio, a format that promises to envelop the listener from all directions. At $450, it's an expensive but impressive speaker. But Sonos has another new speaker out, the $250 Era 100. That speaker doesn't play back spatial audio, but that might not matter when you can get two Era 100s for just a little more cash than the Era 300.Watch T The Gadget Show The Gadget Show · 216K subscribers · Jul 2023
Don't get me wrong, the Era 300 is an impressive device in many ways . And if you need a full-bodied, compact smart speaker with interesting sound, it may well suit you. But if, like me, you feel like it does n't position the sound in the best way, you may be disappointed. And I would advise buying it from a place where you can return the device if you don't like itWatch W
Denon also adds Kobus Connect support, which the Sonos Era 300 does not offer. That means if you prioritize open platform listening and more ways to integrate your music services and devices, the Denon Home 400 is the more versatile pick. As for my final verdict, the Denon Home 400 is the better choice for listeners who care most about full high-res audio, wider format support, and a more open ecosystem that can work with HEOS, Roon Ready devices, and even compatible receivers and amplifiers. On the other hand, Sonos Era 300 makes more sense for buyers who want a more specialized Dolby Atmos speaker, and for US customers, a lower price that may feel like the stronger valueWatch S

It seems that I and some others online are having major issues with our Sonos gear since the latest update. It seems to specifically target the Arc, Era 300's and Sub Gen 3 which are in a Home Theatre setup.Read S
you possibly have a sub and you're looking to expand your channels into surrounds possibly upfiring as well then era 300 do a very decent job they're good for surrounds and nothing more than that I feel these speakers if you're listening for music then I would strongly recommend that you go with the fives rather than these the fives hit lower they have sparkle and honestly they just sound way better in these. I mean, my final verdict on these would be go buy these speakers if you're already invested, heavily invested into the Sonos lineup. You know, you've bought the ARC, you've bought a sub, and you want rare surroundsWatch
