The bottom line is that we liked SimpliSafe’s cameras a lot. There’s just one catch. They don’t work as standalone cameras, so you need to be ready to buy a full SimpliSafe security system. Thankfully, their systems are affordable. In fact, we spent more on one camera when testing Vivint than we did on our entire SimpliSafe security system.Read S

So if you have the camera, which I highly recommend getting something with the outdoor camera, then you can see that on your phone. You can pull up that specific camera. It will show you the view that you have. You can hear what's going on through the app on your phone and you can also talk into it and they will hear it on the camera, whoever is there.Watch S

We keep one charged up so when this one dies, we can quickly put this one in and we don't lose any kind of surveillance. They're very easy to change in and out. I do recommend, and this isn't something that you have to have now, uh but I do recommend getting an extra Simply Safe battery. I think in terms of owning a system like this, it does make it simpler to be able to just swap batteries without having to take out a battery from one of the cameras, charge it for 5 hours, and then get back up on a ladder and put it back.Watch L

However, I do like the outdoor camera’s Active Guard Outdoor Protection add-on, especially since we park our cars in our driveway overnight. The feature uses an AI algorithm to flag anything out of the ordinary for your property (between 8 pm and 6 am for the second-tier plan, and 24/7 for the top-tier plan, with a pricing breakdown for each below) to a live agent.Read D
So, I don't really think that's a reason to upgrade. I think maybe the back and forth or the two-way speakers, which actually the audio is quite good. It picks up conversations from pretty far away. module. You can see the solar panel set up too. So, this first module here and look at the app and see what's going on there. The only flaw I could criticise on the outdoor camera is one that is the same across most if not all wireless battery-operated cameras, it just takes a second or two to start recording, missing the start of whatever triggered it, and the videos are sometimes too short. But I know if I wanted to improve on that I'd have to get a mains-powered always-on camera not linked to the rest of the system.Read thread C
