Tapo's camera is less than half the price of the Nest Cam and is a strong competitor spec-wise. Both the Tapo C120 and Google Nest cams deliver 2K resolution, colorized night footage, two-way audio support, and a wired power connection. But only the Tapo C120 is weather-rated with an IP66 rating, which means it's protected from dirt and dust, resistant to water, and can be used outdoors.

I use the Tapo C120 Wi-Fi security cameras for outside as these are USBC powered and are IP66 rated. These have a better night vision mode and can be magnet mounted. Slightly more expensive, but still really great value for money. And the Tapo C425 is my battery powered security camera that I used it in the garden.

The main advantage of the Tapo from Wyze is that most of the camera features, like its AI detection, doesn't need a subscription.
