Tapo's camera is less than half the price of the Nest Cam and is a strong competitor spec-wise. Both the Tapo C120 and Google Nest cams deliver 2K resolution, colorized night footage, two-way audio support, and a wired power connection. But only the Tapo C120 is weather-rated with an IP66 rating, which means it's protected from dirt and dust, resistant to water, and can be used outdoors.Read S
This is a small camera with high resolution and interesting features. Let's just take a look. Here's the camera with the base. The camera is foldable. It comes like this. Pretty nice. Then you can just unfold and use the base here on your desk, for example. Or you can even even stick this to some metallic surface, okay? Here, for example, I have this plate that I can stick the camera to.Watch P

I use the Tapo C120 Wi-Fi security cameras for outside as these are USBC powered and are IP66 rated. These have a better night vision mode and can be magnet mounted. Slightly more expensive, but still really great value for money. And the Tapo C425 is my battery powered security camera that I used it in the garden.Watch G

The TP-Link Tapo C120 indoor-outdoor camera is a great choice if you want to spend as little as possible for a dependable camera. It shares the consistent detection and pleasant app experience of the more expensive Tapo models, and it can be used anywhere in your home where there’s access to power, inside or out.Read L
The main advantage of the Tapo from Wyze is that most of the camera features, like its AI detection, doesn't need a subscription. I also have made videos of the easiest and the cheapest security camera setup, especially if you're just starting out. And that is by using indoor cameras to look outside your window using their window mounts.Watch S
What's important here is that it's not detecting anymore as a pet because the pet just changed the position. You see, right now it doesn't look as a pet. So, it's important to understand that the camera doesn't know there's a pet here because it's in a different shape. Perhaps it's something else. All right. So, that's the idea is going to record as a pet.Watch O
Sounds like an easy recommendation, but after researching the features, customer feedback, and expert opinions, we found there are a few things you should know before buying the Tapo C120. And later in the video, we'll do a quick setup and installation. The biggest strength is the image quality because the camera records in 2K quad high-definition resolution with a 4-megapixel sensor.Watch

So if you're in the market for a budget surveillance system, let this be a fair warning about the limitations of Tapo cameras and TP-Link’s approach to support and documentation. It’s been a frustrating experience, and I hope this helps others avoid the same pitfalls, and If anyone has any suggestions on what I should do please let me know. Thanks for reading!Read thread B
