Now what I like about these cameras is that they are very easy to set up as well as you can set them up indoors or outdoors. So I use them as a part of a security system for my home. However, if you are going to set them up outdoors, you don't need to do anything different with the camera, but they do come with an outdoor power plug and adapter.

On our home security cameras board, Arlo Pro 5S 2K ranks #18 (C tier) ahead of Blink Mini 2 at #21 (D tier). Arlo Pro 5S 2K: Good hardware coasting on a 2023 reputation, superseded by the Pro 6 at comparable money and saddled with the same paywall creep. Buy the Pro 6 or leave Arlo.

On our home security cameras board, Blink Mini 2 ranks #21 (D tier) ahead of Blink Outdoor 4 at #22 (D tier). Blink Outdoor 4: Heavy marketing, modest hardware, and a subscription gating the features that matter. Testing coverage calls it overhyped outright. Buy the Tapo MagCam (C425) instead.
