CNET’s Ty Pendlebury praised the S95F in his review as “the best picture quality I’ve ever tested,” earning it our Editors’ Choice award. With its brilliant visuals, smooth motion and future‑ready OLED panel, it’s a premium pick that outshines much of the competition. One challenge with OLED TVs is reflections, but this model reduces them more effectively than most.Read B

The S95F 83-inch RGB Tandem OLED that has amazing brightness, and color with true blacks and never having OLED previously. TV, movies, gaming is superb through Xbox/PS5 Pro. The RGB Tandem WOLED (same panel as the LG G5 83-inch WOLED). This TV is actually brighter than the 83-inch LG G5. The colors on the S95F are wow factor. Filmmaker is great w/limited tweaking.Read H
With Sony relegating QD OLED to a step- down model beneath the company's miniLEDD flagship and therefore capping its peak brightness despite using Samsung displays latest generation panel, there's little doubt in our mind that the Samsung S95F should be the brightest QD OLED television on the market in terms of measurements.Watch W
The matte finish on the front of the S95F makes it have the color saturation (and lack of reflections) of a very high-end projection screen, but without the same problems with black levels. Because this is a QD-OLED, every pixel acts as its own backlight, which means that the darkest scenes are truly dark, rather than just showing off dimmed pixels.Read G
So, Samsung has gone big on OLED this year because I think that they know how much people really like that OLED look and that's characterized by high contrast as well as those pure pure blacks. Now, what they've done is there used to be only two OLED models in the range. Now, there are three this year. So, it's a good, better, best thing.Watch A
I have this tv in a 77 inch and it’s phenomenal! Don’t allow the matte finish to cloud your judgment. I’ve had several glossy OLEDs and QLEDs in the past, and I don’t mind the matte finish at all. The matte finish is only an issue for ME if I’m watching dark quality content in a bright room.Watch R
But where the Samsung really is the clear winner is the HDR color volume. This is what QD OLEDs have always been known for, and that continues today. It displays bright and dark colors without any issues, making your favorite content look punchy and vivid. This isn't to say that the LG is bad. It's actually pretty excellent for this.Watch C
The S95F is built for all-day streaming sessions. The ultra-bright display holds up beautifully even in daylight, thanks to the anti-glare system. Add in ultra-smooth gaming performance and exceptional HDR, and you've got a screen that makes both Elf and Elden Ring look their absolute best.Read B
They have improved the Glarefree to make reflections and sunlight that hits it less perceptible, diffuses it even more while still keeping the great tech from OLED. Dark, deep, inky blacks, bright, vibrant colors, right? You have pixel by pixel control, so you don't have any of that blooming. This is what this TV is about, the S95.Watch B
Like all OLED TVs, the S95F also has exceptional viewing angles. Though contrast and color tend to distort when you sit off-center from a QLED TV, that's not the case here. This helps make the S95F a great choice for watch parties since all your guests get a great view.Read B
So, really awesome that they finally sent me these two pieces together. Yeah, I know you like a matching set. And so, this is kind of small compared to some of the other ones we have for this room.Watch Z
The S95F handled each beautifully with smooth action during fast-paced scenes and gameplay, crisp details in both color and black-and-white films, and clean audio across pretty much any media you could think to play.Read A
You can see the graphs that out of the box this TV is as accurate as you're going to get in the filmmaker mode. None of the other modes are as accurate. It is just blowing me away. It's always a big problem when I'm filming any type of screen because the glare is always there. It's always hard to get the lights positioned properly so I don't see it on the screen that I'm filming. But here, it's blowing me away how good this is.Watch W

So, here I am at Value Electronics in the snow after CES filming what I think is a must buy TV. And as Samsung moves more into this lifestyle aesthetic, um, and even though the S95 F does have the anti-glare coating, I do feel that that bezel is going to be hard for many of you to deal with. But again, we're here at Value Electronics. Let's go in. Let's check out the 83 in S95F.Watch D

Color reproduction on the S95 is excellent. Watching something colorful like Moana 2, the ocean blues really stood out, showing off the panel's richness. The TV covers 100% of the DCI P3 color space and reached 90.2% of WEC 2020.Watch P

The stained glass on the S95F was significantly brighter than the Q90F, even though a window measurement would say otherwise. And you probably should have seen multiple instances now where the backlight on the Q90F has fluctuated, kind of gone up and down in brightness. And that does happen less in real content as the scene changes aren't so frequent.Watch P

Let's start with Samsung's S95F, a TV so bright it could guide ships through fog. This OLED promises to say goodbye to distracting reflections, which is perfect if your house has more windows than a greenhouse. You can finally watch your favorite shows without seeing your own face staring back at you in judgment.Watch B
Its brightness and contrast are so powerful, you'll start noticing details you didn't even know existed, like the pores on an actor's face or the regret in their eyes when they realized they signed up for a reboot no one wanted. Samsung calls it strikingly lielike picture, and they're not exaggerating. It's OLED at its absolute peak.Watch A
The Samsung S95F QD OLED. In this case, I will talk to you about this 55 inch version. Well, the most relevant thing about this model is its matte antiglare screen. Reflections handling is outstanding thanks to that.Watch K
Overall, the Samsung S95F feels like a top-tier flagship TV. If you want one of the best picture qualities available right now, along with strong gaming performance and premium features, this is easily one of the best options in 2025.Watch I
This TV though is really good and I can't wait to show you what it can do. So, let's check it out. >> When it comes to design, Samsung's top-end TVs are simply beautiful, and I don't think anyone comes close, and it's been that way for some time now. The S95 series is insanely thin, around 12 mm.Watch N
So, if you are looking for something that does offer a viewability in all lighting environments, then this TV is definitely something to consider. The other big improvement this year is the 4K AI processor that Samsung has packed in here.Watch

My CX is puttering out and I’m between the s95f and the G5 but reflection really bothers me. It’s for our living room but there’s windows behind us and the CX did not handle that at all well. I’m also skeptical because I bought the CX in 2021 so it really didn’t last long, but it doesn’t sound like it’s all sunshine and rainbows on the Samsung side either.Read thread H
The Sony Bravia 8 M I was judged to align most closely with the reference monitor in terms of shadow detail and dark color rendition, followed by the Samsung S95F QD OLED. To evaluate HDR10 color accuracy, we selected seven clips covering a wide spectrum, pun intended.Watch Q
My ONLY problem with the S95F is the home screen. My seating area is about 14 feet away, and I can't see the apps - they are tiny – and can't be adjusted. The home screen is way too busy, and the apps are the smallest icon on the entire screen. Very poor home screen design, and surprising that the home screen can't be customized on a flagship television.Watch H
We noticed that the new NQ4 AI Gen3 processor appeared to apply some H enhancement even with sharpness set to zero in filmmaker mode. This was evident from increased muare on a luma zone plate pattern in UHD SDR as well as a slightly overprocessed look on even the most pristine 4K Blu-rays such as Sulli.Watch P
While the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor cleanly handles 1080p upscaling just fine, lower-definition or heavily compressed streams and clips (720p/1080p), such as football highlights, draw attention to the limitations — edges feel over-etched and faces gain a slight ‘processed’ look. Sadly, we’re not in that era where we’ve solved this yet; not even with AI.Read T
Its black levels are still a little flawed compared to the LG G5 when watched with strong ambient lighting, which partially steers our final verdict on it, as I'll come to, but that is a fair trade-off for how well it removes reflections in really bright rooms. The S95F is an outstanding TV.Watch A
And one of the judges said it would have done even better if Samsung didn’t push such vibrant colors which made it different from the reference monitor. But that’s different in a way that people like me prefer. Likewise with shadow detail. While not the only one to do so, it showed more shadow detail than the reference model so was dinged for it.Read R
Still, in a bright space, the deepest blacks look more charcoal than pitch black. And in very well-lit rooms, the screen ends up looking pink gray. This is typical of QD OLED models, but is made even more apparent with the matte coating. Movie purists will still want to dim the lights if they want to keep those dark scenes deep and inky. In terms of color performance, this is classic QD OLED.Watch T
For my money, the S85F is better value, hitting the sweet spot of features and performance vs price. If you have the means to buy the flagship S95F, it is the better choice, but those who opt for the S85F won’t be disappointed.Read R
Still, if we to take off our magnifying glasses for just a second, shadows are slightly overbrightened on the S95F. Yeah, we know, major nitpicking here, but hey, that's what we're here for. Here's the biggest difference between these two models. SDR brightness. If you watch a lot of SDR and like it bright, then the S95F is calling your name. The motion is smooth, but some tuning is needed. When it's too smooth, it has this soap opra feel. Colors are vivid, wide gamut, and very pleasing. But true color purists might notice small hue errors in HDR modes, but for a casual TV watcher like me, it's pretty upscaling is good. And it's a great time for me to kind of wrap up our impressions and hopefully leave you with an idea of whether the Samsung S95F is for you or the G5 is for you because ultimately they're both winners in their own respect, in their own right. As you saw yesterday, there were some scenes where the S95F killed it and there were some scenes where the G5 did.Watch T
And this is in no particular order, but the first best thing about this TV is the design. Now, this TV is got to be one of the best, if not the best looking design of any TV that you can buy in 2025. Now, let me show you why. So, if we go around to the side, just check how thin that TV is. Now, there are thinner TVs out there, but it does come at a potential cost of being a little bit too fragile.Watch A
And when this TV is stand mounted, you need to also be aware that at 77 in it's rather large and it does wobble on the stand. It's not dangerous in any way. It just moves around when it's touched and you know it can look a little bit on the sketchy side.Watch Q
And that's about it because Samsung has the picture quality about every single step of the way else. And we're talking color. We're talking I mean it literally you just it goes to places. I want to love the S95F QD OLED because it brings insane HDR performance. In fact, so far it's the brightest display I have ever measured in realworld content, making it highly desirable for those of you looking for that HDR. However, it has been absolutely violated by a matte finish.Watch T
One of the biggest common complaints about Samsung TVs is that it does not have Dolby Vision. This is still the case in 2025, but the Panasonic Z95B does have Dolby Vision. And the Samsung S95F has HDR10 Plus, but the Panasonic also has HDR10 Plus. So, not only does Panasonic have Dolby Vision, but they also have HDR10 plus, so they have both dynamic metadata formats. The high peak brightness and excellent color volume mean that HDR and HDR10 plus games truly pop with dazzling highlight and rich vibrant colors that can look almost too strong in some cases. The only issue I have with the S95F is the giant size of the Attached Slim One Connect Box on this particular model. It is very large, very deep but super shallow, like a pizza box. It was made to fit onto the back of the TV stand. But when your TV is wall-mounted, the box has to fit inside a TV cabinet below.Watch T
While the S95F is so effective at blocking mirror-like reflections, black tones look more raised in comparison and shadow detail just therefore isn't as good. With the same subtle objects we could clearly see on the G6 looking more obscured.Watch F Facebook Michael Pettit · owner

And this is in no particular order, but the first worst thing about this TV is that it doesn't support Dolby Vision. Samsung, what are you doing? You'll notice that there's just not a lot of color luminance going on for the S95F, which really sucks because this is the reason why we buy QD OLED TVs. We want the quantum dot color. In a perfect world, I would do this with two S95s side by side, but I got to work with what I got, and that's the S95F and the S90F. This is the 83-inch S95F. That would be an 83-inch version of Samsung's top OLED model, but that's where things get a little bit tricky. Now, if you follow TVs, then you know historically any OLED TV from Samsung above the 77-inch level was going to be a WRGB OLED panel.Watch T
