After using the reMarkable paper pro move for about 3 months the miniature version has a lot of things to like but also some downsides. It is a unique size in the E Ink world but that size is a mixed bag for pure notetaking and PDFs/EPUBs. Here are my thoughts and some explanations of what I like and what I find annoying.

It's definitely more life-proof feeling and less premium than the other two tablets I mentioned and also the reMarkable 2. It's light at 360 g. It's relatively thin at 6 mm, which is thicker than the reMarkable 2, famously an ultra-thin slate. It doesn't feel like the same sliver of aluminum either. This is plastic.

But needless to say, the Remarkable Paper Pro that I have here is the best, highest end, largest e- ink with color option that you can get from Remarkable. There is also the Remarkable Paper Pro Move. Most of what happens on the Paper Pro is transferable on that device, but it's in a much more compact footprint.

At first glance, the reMarkable Paper Pro Move seems like the ideal travel-friendly note-taking tablet: a good compact build; useful color E Ink; and solid features, now even with handwriting search. But the closer I looked, the more it became clear that the portability comes at a cost.

I agree, the ebook text formatting options seem broken on the Move. The only usable margin option is the widest one, bringing the edges of the text close to the edge of the screen. But because these settings seem to sync to my Paper Pro, you end up having to adjust the margins whenever you switch between devices.
