I give this Verse Pro a four-star "book lover" rating . I think it has a lot of potential for those who want to escape the Amazon Kindle ecosystem and just want a device that is independent of all that. The device is somewhat glitchy and feels cheap. Don’t let the color option fool you. It’s got nothing on Kindle. I really wanted to love the device but @pocketbook.ch refuse to respond to my messages so I’m sending it back and warning my fellow book readers of this product…. update: no word from pocketbook BUT I found some usefulness for it.

While I find the Verse Pro indeed well built, I wonder what you mean with metal structure, since there isn't any metal at all on the Verse Pro 😅 And a disadvantages of the more nice design (compared to a Kobo Clara) is that it likely breaks more easily when letting it fall - at least I suspect this.

I had one for awhile. I returned because it was hard to have 2 Pocketbook devices. I also have the Pocketbook Inkpad color 3.
