Flagged as a product to avoid

1 of 3 research runs entered this as a product to avoid rather than a pick.

The screen is useless without an iFit subscription, and the very high cost combined with hit-or-miss reliability make it poor value compared with cheaper alternatives.

But where Peloton might excel in delivering glossy, addictive spin sessions with live leaderboards and pumping soundtracks, the X24 Studio Bike also caters to the keen cyclist with a series of interactive virtual rides that simulate gradient changes with automatic incline and decline adjustments from 20% to -10%. It offers a neat middle-ground between a full-fat cycling trainer, such as the Wahoo Kickr Bike Shift or Wattbike Atom, and a more traditional studio or spin machine.

In its category, I believe the 2025 NordicTrack Incline X24 is the best treadmill in its class!

Whether you plan on running, walking, or sprinting a treadmill’s stability is essential to not only enjoying your workout but also staying injury free. Plus, the 22-inch-by-60-inch deck is one of the longest ones available on the market. If you are really tall or have long legs, you will enjoy the X24’s ability to allow your legs to stride naturally. In comparison, the average treadmill is around 10 inches shorter.

However, I've been riding them for years because the X24 bike is the latest iteration of the S22 bike, what it was named before. They've improved things like a much better tablet now and a faster incline and decline motor, but essentially a lot of the components are the same. And they've done a really good job with this bike because the S22i was such a good bike.

All in all, the NordicTrack X24 Bike is the reason for the season, for sure. This is the smartest bike I’ve ever seen and if you’re into hard core streaming workouts, look no further. At $1,999 it’s in the ballpark of other top machines. But the good news is you’ll never outgrow it, and the way things are going, I can see iFit’s workout app only getting more interactive. It’s a blue ribbon bike for sure.

This bike doesn't go up and down on hills like the X24 bike does. And as much as I do really like that feature because when you go up a hill, it gets harder to pedal.

For runners training for hills, hikers preparing for big adventures, or anyone looking to add a new level of challenge to their fitness routine, the X24 delivers a training experience unlike that of a traditional treadmill. And for those of us who don’t always have access to the terrain we’re training for, that difference can be incredibly valuable.

NordicTrack rates the X24 at 350 pounds, matching the X22i, but the stronger motor handles steep-grade running under that weight with less strain. We tested this deck at over 300 pounds during 30% incline intervals, and the frame stayed rock solid, even at speeds that would push a lighter machine to shake.

The X24 inclines up to 40% and it declines to -6%. The motor is very well powered and it's quick to adjust, so it's made to handle heavy training. Plus, it's backed by a lifetime motor warranty. It also handles up to 400 lb, so it'll handle most people.

I bought the X24 a couple of months ago, strictly for the incline/decline range. I don't do any of the classes or anything like that but I'm sure they are good options. No issues so far, and I'm liking it. I'll put it through its paces during the winter and when ultra training picks up a bit more.

When a customer tells us they want the steepest climb money can buy, we point them toward the NordicTrack X24 . This is the treadmill for people who’ve outgrown a standard 15% grade and want a machine that mimics actual mountain trails, not just a slight ramp under the front rollers.

We think that the NordicTrack X24 is likely a good fit for performance-minded professionals who value sleek design, smooth rides, and tech-forward features. It operates quietly, which makes this bike easy to integrate into a home office or extra room.

The NordicTrack X24 bike is one of the best spin bikes we’ve ever tested both for features, stability, comfort and low noise. The incline and decline feature set it apart from others to really give you more of that outdoor ride feeling.
