Frequently asked questions

It ranks #15 of 15 on our ergonomic mice tier list, in F tier. That placement draws on 5 independent outlets.

None of the 3 sources with a clear view is critical of it. Budget design. Lacks ergonomic shape. No smooth scrolling. Older design with limited praise. Lacks wireless convenience.

Nobody we can recommend as an ergonomic mouse. It sits in F tier on our ergonomic mice board. Reviewers credit it with excellent tracking, a high-precision sensor, multi-surface use and a low price, but it is a wired, older design with limited praise, a shorter warranty than its peers and a small size that limits adjustability. Buy the Logitech MX Master 4 in S tier, or the Logitech Lift in B tier if you want a cheaper mouse that is also comfortable.

The Logitech MX Master 4. It is the S tier pick and it covers everything the Logitech M500s does well, with a shape reviewers actually praise. If the lower price of the Logitech M500s is the attraction, the Logitech Lift in B tier is the better mouse to save on.

No. It is wired, and reviewers on our board record the lack of wireless as a drawback twice over. A cable never needs charging, which is the one advantage, but it adds drag and it is the reason the mouse is an older design by today's standards.

Not in any meaningful way. It is a conventional right-handed office mouse with a slight contour, not a sculpted, vertical or trackball design. Reviewers on our board record its small size as limiting adjustability, and its lack of consistent positive feedback is why it ranks last. It is a decent precise wired mouse, not an ergonomic one.

It is small, but that is not the same thing. Reviewers say its size limits adjustability, and a small conventional mouse still leaves the wrist twisted flat against the desk. For small hands our board points to the Logitech Lift, a vertical mouse in B tier that reviewers call small-hand friendly.
