You don't need a dongle. It works with a cord. Just be sure to get a cord that handles data transfer/sync (some cords are only good for charging). The other trick is finding the right shaped cord. The narrow slot in the Rollermouse doesn't have room for an average cord sleeve. It took me 5 stores to find one that worked.Read thread E

It is a bar that sits in front of the keyboard. You roll a cylinder with your fingertips to move the cursor and slide it sideways to move across the screen, and the buttons sit on the bar below it. Because it is central, either hand can use it and your arms never leave the keyboard line, which is where its ergonomic advantage comes from.
Reviewers on our board credit it with durable construction and long-term reliability, which is part of why it sits in A tier. It has few moving parts beyond the roller bar and the buttons, and those are the parts to keep clean. The higher price is the trade-off reviewers accept for that longevity.
The Contour RollerMouse Red. It sits in A tier while the Contour Touch sits in D tier, and reviewers name the build quality gap between the two directly. The Contour Touch is cheaper and has an adjustable angle, but its touchpad integration is unreliable. Buy it only if you specifically want a traditional mouse shape from Contour and can accept that compromise.
Expect a few days to a week. Rolling a bar with your fingertips is a different motion from moving a mouse, so precise work is slower at first. Most people settle in within a week of full-time use, and the comfort gain is what keeps them on it. Keep your old mouse plugged in for the first few days.
