The JVC DLA-NZ500 D-ILA projector impressively combines high performance with innovative design at an attractive price point of $5,999. With impressive native 4K resolution, outstanding contrast, and advanced HDR features, it stands out in the competitive projector market. While it does sacrifice some features from its predecessor, the NZ500 still delivers an excellent home cinema experience that makes it hard to overlook.Read A
Welcome the NEW JVC NZ500 & NZ700 Projectors! These models replace the previous NP5 and NZ7 models and are a HUGE step up in performance!Watch T
The JVC DLA-NZ500 is an exceptionally good home cinema projector that delivers where it really counts: contrast and black levels. The motorised lens with blanking is a luxury feature that makes it child’s play to adjust the image to the screen. The fact that the JVC projector costs less than its Sony competitor, while outperforming it in all disciplines that matter, makes this a great buy in its class.Read A

Our projector reviews are back, as is JVC with its first compact Native 4K Laser projector, the NZ500 (RS1200) . I have had the projector on test for a few months now and have been blown away by the new form factor and the stunning image quality on offer. This is the ultimate entry-level to pure high-end home cinema projector in a light-controlled dedicated cinema room.Read D

Watch A

Thanks for the review, I bought the JVC NZ500 as it was cheaper then the Sony Bravia 7. I am surprised by the black instead of grey shades of darkness and black clothing. All a new experience. I was listening to your review again and again to pin point my decision. Thanks again.Watch D

The JVC DLA-NZ500 is a native 4K home theater projector that successfully replaces its predecessor, the DLA-NP5, by introducing a long-lasting BLU-Escent laser light source instead of a mercury lamp. Evaluated at €5,999, it boasts a 150-watt reduction in power usage and a redesigned chassis that is 4.6 kilograms lighter and takes up less physical space. The updated cooling system draws air from the front and exhausts it out the back, shrinking the minimum required wall clearance from 20 to just 5 centimeters and dropping operational noise levels down to 22 dB at lower laser outputs. Performance tests verified outstanding edge-to-edge sharpness and superior brightness, measuring 1,900 lumens in SDR and 1,920 lumens in HDR.Read D

Only a few of those features would be possible on the NZ500 / 700 so chances are the processor could do these that relate to them like Frame Adapt HDR Vivid and Highlight colour control. But I wonder will JVC keep them unique to the top models because of how close in performance the lesser models are now.Read T
