The XGIMI Horizon 20 Max is the flagship projector in the company’s new lineup, so it’s no surprise that it boasts all of the spec bells and whistles that lead to a practically no compromises setup. This thing is outrageous in all of the best ways, with XGIMI pitching it as the projector to finally replace the television, even in daylight viewing conditions. After using the Horizon 20 Max for watching movies and playing games — including competitive shooters like Battlefield 6 — it’s time for my review .Read P

The Xgimi Horizon 20 Max is the new king of brightness, an accolade I suspect soon will be meaningless, but more on that later. Can't talk about their newest version, but I've had their Horizon Pro for 3 years now. After about 6 months it got it's first dead pixel and then it went up to 9 for about 2 years before it just stopped working 1 month ago. The Horizon 20 Max features a dynamic black algorithm which is quite advanced thanks to the new Texas Instruments DLP C8445 DMD controller. It works with great speed and smoothness and it's almost invisible during operation. It's micro gamma adjustments are executed perfectly giving the image stable high contrast in nearly every scene. However, this entire operation is affected by dramatic white balance shift making the image noticeably warmer and giving it a reddish tint.Watch F

This feature alone puts the Horizon 20 Max in a completely different link for placement flexibility. It is the only lifestyle DLP projector on the market at the moment that offers this kind of flexibility with horizontal and vertical shift.
