IMHO, the best feature of the LS12000, bar none, over and above its every other spec, is it has 3 imaging chips. This is in line with ALL other professional 3-chip projectors, which means no sequential color, and most importantly, ABSOLUTELY NO RAINBOW EFFECT artifact. In projectors, there are two evils: single-chip, and "fake" or pixel-shifted 4k/UHD.Watch D

Just got one installed yesterday. It's amazing! Great for the price as well. Once they said they weren't making the 6050UB anymore (almost a month after we ordered it) and that this was due out, I was skeptical of the increased cost being a laser projector. It was well worth the slight increase in cost vs other laser projectors.Watch D

I have been using my Epson LS12000 for more than a year now. No issues with noise or pixels and i am sitting around 12-13 ft from 140 inch screen. My Epson is behind in another room so no sound issues but ny light output is only at 80%.Watch P

I love my LS12000. When my wife and i were watching Dune we couldnt turn the light output above 75% or the bright scenes or explosions made us squint. Bang for the buck you really cant beat it.Watch A
We've had this thing in the house for a couple of days now, and we want to give you our accurate and honest testimonial. So, stick around right after the intro, and we'll get into it. Okay, so real quick, I want to go over the differences between the LS12000 versus the Epson 6050 model, also known as a 5050.Watch Y
Epson ls12000 is a great price to performance projector. Epson has always led the way in price to performance.Watch A

This is the latest and greatest firmware available for the Epson LS12000. Hello everyone, thanks for joining us again for today's episode of The Dan Engine. I hope the firmware update for your Epson LS12000 goes very smoothly. I really feel like there are some minor improvements in this firmware update.Watch T
The first one is the BenQ W4100i and the second one is the Epson LS12000. Stick around. Nice to be in all. All right, everybody. Thanks for joining me here on the Den.Watch J
Before I do, I kind of wanted to share my landing place after 3 years of using this projector. Real happy with this projector. It's like a really nice oneWatch J
In person the Epson LS12000 RTINGS scroll for instance is perfectly smooth and no shadows or outlines. The JVC is a little jerky. The video makes both look jerky. You can try to pause and freeze frame to get some idea of motion clarity, but obviously it's not portraying nearly as clearly as it is to see the delta in person. Hopefully it still gives you some idea.Watch J
Yes. The Epson LS12000 has 120Hz output.Watch S
With its laser light engine, HDR10 plus support, and 2700 lumens of brightness, the LS12000 stands out in a crowded field of high-performance home projectors. Performance. Let's talk performance because that's where the Epson Pro Cinema LS12000 earns its reputation. In a properly light controlled room, this projector delivers razor sharp 4K imagery with deep blacks and vivid contrast that easily rival projectors double its price.Watch M

The Epson Home Cinema 5050UB costs significantly less upfront and delivers exceptional image quality per dollar spent. However, the Pro Cinema LS12000 eliminates expensive bulb replacements over time. For occasional viewers, the 5050UB offers better immediate value. Heavy users who watch content daily will likely save money long-term with the LS12000's maintenance-free operation.Read T

I will say from a calibration standpoint it can be difficult to set a white point on a non DV device such as this. I use the HDFury VRRoom and I can notice a slight red shade in what should be a white highlight when using the DV hack. I also use Calman and a Murideo 6g to do my standard calibrations and trying to activate Dolby Vision for the LS12000 is a pain.Watch K
Overall, the LS12000 continues to deliver a fantastic cinematic experience, but it’s not without quirks. If you’re considering this projector, my long-term experience should give you some insight into whether it’s the right fit for your setup.Watch S
Cliff notes of my thoughts on the LS12000: -It is a GREAT projector, BUT it still leaves a lot to be desired in some areas. Honestly it is the same problem all projectors in this price range suffer from: Day scenes or well lit scenes look INCREDIBLE, but I still struggle to enjoy dark scenes under the same settings.Watch K
Not gonna lie, I am not going to buy either of these products, but I did like the look of the Epson. Valerion looked way too "cool". About some of the details you mention. In my opinion, I would never ever stop and pixelhunt while watching a movie. In motion I don't think you would look for those details.Watch A
I didn't find it necessary to have an external solution with the LS12000 , and typically did not run one --- more just to test and learn. Meanwhile the Epson QB1000 and QL3000 and QL7000 do also have dynamic tonemapping -- so Epson has moved that way with their newer models.Read A
I subjectively liked the colors on the LS12000 the best here, the blues were the richest to my eyes, and since they all seemed about the same brightness, or in the ballpark and nothing too dark to steal the show for the JVC - the LS12000 was my preference.Read T
The price point difference is huge. If anything, it shows that any improvement that might favor the Epson requires you to ask if its worth twice the cost to obtain that, or realize what a bargain the BenQ is over the Epson. The BenQ looks better to me.Watch T
They trade blows IMO. Epson is brighter, pops more, and JVC handles dark content better. I watched Luck on Apple TV Streaming two nights ago with my kids on the JVC. Last night we watched the first 10 minutes again on the JVC to refresh our memory.Watch J
So far I like the look of the LS12000 here. Though I'm also curious how long the laser and phosphor reflector will really last. What would really be awesome is a 3-LCD setup with independent dimmable R, G and B lasers for each color.Watch D
I’m blown away with my new Epson LS12000! I set mine up and turned it on and couldn’t believe how AMAZING the picture was without the screen. I can’t wait until everything is installed. Thanks Dreamedia!Watch W
While this might look disappointing on paper, the reality is that both deliver impressively sharp and detailed images that punch well above what you'd expect from straight Full HD.Read T

I'm very surprised to see how dark the LS12000 is. I watch videos on the LS12000 every day, and it's impossible for it to be that dark.Watch K
Surprisingly, the Valerion VisionMaster Max outperformed expectations, showing better detail in dark scenes and a sharper overall image, all while costing less than the Epson LS12000. This comparison highlights how newer projector technology is challenging long-time home theater favorites.Watch J
Cant see some stuff on the ls cuz its so dim, especially dark stuffWatch
