I found the lens covers plenty durable, though I accidentally dropped my Max 2 from waist height on my gravel driveway and the lens didn't have so much as a scratch. Still, it's nice to know that, if you're heading off into the wilds, you can just throw an extra set of lens covers in your bag and not have to worry about it.

Captures everything in a spherical view, so you can shoot first and point later. Use a single lens for traditional wide-angle action shots with unbreakable stabilization.

Meh, underwater looks like doodoo. A blurry mess. Pass. For above ground stuff yeah it's cool. For people who want to use it for filming the underwater world, stick with a hero 13.

However, when I was mounting this to my chest and also to my helmet, I did like the kind of more shorter compact size of the Max 2. Now, when it comes down to weight, the X5 comes in at 202 g. And I do have the extended battery on here, which is that orange seal one. And I believe that might be 1 g heavier than the original battery, but it does come in at 202 gram. The Max 2 comes in at 195 grams.

Overall the single lens footage from Max 2 is quite good, but the Hero 13 Black will produce better results. For some users the GoPro Max 2 will be a good choice as you get the best of both worlds, you get the creativity and unique perspectives of 360 reframed footage, but also the convince of single lens mode like a standard action camera.

The GoPro Max 2 brings some really interesting upgrades, especially when you compare it against the original Max, which is about 6 years old now. So, they've really updated that. Uh, there is some disappointments, however, with it. Uh, first of all, the batteries still don't support quick charging, which isn't a big thing for everybody, but I do prefer my batteries to be able to be quick charged.

Although the GoPro Max 2 is a solid camera with some great new upgrades over the original Max, there is nothing that stands out that I don't already have with my Insta360 X5 or DJI Osmo 360. I was really hoping for more from the Max 2 even if it has some unique feature, capability or exceptional video quality I would of definitely kept it.

Then you got this big compartment which contains the USB C port to charge the battery which takes super long by the way. You have this battery and a micro SD card. My recommendation is in the video description. Usually the USBC port should be on the other side in a different compartment.
