I was pleasantly surprised by how NOT green the tint of this light is. The SFT70 Gen2 seems to be more consistent in tint across brightness levels than the SFT70 Gen1. Lower brightness levels in Gen1 are so green. In image 5/6 and 6/6, PD40R V3 with the SFT70 Gen1 is on the left, and PD36R ACE with the SFT70 Gen2 is on the right. Image 5/6, both lights are on 350 lumens mode.Read M
The the batteries are excellent batteries as well. Um, yeah, there there's just something about their lights that just absolutely make them excellent lights. In fact, let's let's just go straight to the comments.Watch R r/flashlight u/Lumens-and-Knives · owner
Fenix makes excellent lights, very well built. They don't necessarily cater to enthusiasts with fancy high-CRI LEDs or anything like that, so you may not see them posted as much here. The PD36R has to be one of their most popular flashlights over the years and I've had a chance to review several of them over at 1Lumen.com including the Pro , V2 , and ACE models.Read H
" After reading the reviews, I thought it looked interesting and decided to buy it. You can order this one yourself via the link. It comes with Advanced Command Edition technology, which is abbreviated as A S. The S stands for superior or advanced. Something like top-tier, leading-edge.Watch R r/flashlight u/WesternAd7089 · owner
Get the 36R Ace. I have the PD35R Ace and its been my edc for over a month now. The Ace UI is wonderful. The 45R was the first in the Ace line but its different than the other 3 in the line. The PD26r, PD35R and PD36R Ace is more simplified with mode changes. The PD36R Ace also got a fantastic review on 1lumen. Ive had the Pro and i dont like the mode spacing.Read D
They just have great attention to detail in all of their flashlights and their overall quality is almost unrivaled. I can see can think of maybe a handful of other brands that would be comparable. The PD36R8 is a fantastic option if you want reliability and power in one pocketable package. So, this is the box that the light comes in.Watch E
Would I buy it again? Without hesitation. The Fenix PD36R Pro has earned its place in my system, even if that place isn’t my pocket. If you’re comparing options for the best EDC flashlight in 2026, this one belongs at the top of your shortlist — as long as you’re honest with yourself about where it’s going to live.Read S
I think this is a really handsome looking light. So, let's go down here and look at the details. The light comes with a more substantial belt clip case and a lanyard and some extra O-rings. Quick rundown on the construction. Tail button here, which is a forward click design. You can half press it or full press it. Spot for lanyard mounting back here. The tail button does protrude past that.Watch G
A slightly upgraded model of the also-great PD36R Pro (itself an upgrade on the standard PD36R), the PD36R ACE is a benchmark flashlight with one big advantage over predecessors. Owners can adjust the output modes to match their specific needs with the easy-to-use Advanced Command Edition’s SET button.Read T
This is an incredibly powerful light for the size that it is. Um, kind of neat when you turn it on, you've got your, uh, selector switch right here that glows red, so you can cycle through the light settings easily enough. And the battery life is what's most impressive. 2 hours and 50 minutes on the highest setting. I thought that was absolutely incredible.Watch 1
From my experience, Fenix lights are really well designed, they use quality materials and finishes, have great constant-current drivers, and publish truthful ANSI specs. And they just work, period.Read T
Everything feels overbuilt, and I mean that in the best possible way. When it comes to the UI, that's what makes this thing special. There's a hidden set button underneath the neck. And that set button allows you to choose between a single mode flashlight or a multiode flashlight. And so, no matter what your job is or how you want to use this light, it's got a behavior set that works for you.Watch S
With its impressive performance, programmability, and ease of use, it’s hard to find a flashlight that can top the Fenix PD36R Ace, which is why it’s our number one flashlight.Read L
It's seriously powerful in a pocket-size package with a blinding 3000 lm and a throw that reaches 454 yards. This is not just another flashlight. This is a handheld search light. Ready for anything.Watch I Instagram Article

I'm a big big fan of Phoenix's Ace series because the flashlights in the A series gives you just a little bit more customization than your standard offerings. And the Fenix PD36R Ace right here gives you those three options. Option one, option two, option three. A tactical, a duty, and a standard use mode. So, I think that's pretty cool. Albeit somewhat limited still with the three options.Watch L

I’m now hesitating between the PD35R ACE (the “ACE” features are not really useful for me) and the PD40R V3.Read G
Accordingly, the figure of 3,000 leva on the package is more of an advertising ploy. There is brightness stabilization. The controls are made up of three buttons. The lantern body is traditionally made of aluminum. Tail tactical button with quick press and locking when fully pressed. Two ears for the headscarf. A flashlight cannot be placed on the tail because the button protrudes.Watch
