The other difference between these two devices is that the HD60S does not allow you to both record and stream and different qualities. So if you’re streaming at 40 Mbps, but want a smaller file recorded to your PC, you can’t make the recording 30 Mbps. However, this limitation only applies to Elgato’s native capture program.

This isn't the highest-end video capture device that Elgato has, but is a good start for any gamers who are interested in starting to record or stream their games online through various platforms.

We really gave the Elgato HD60S a funeral. 😭⚰️ JailBreakGaming and Neema Weed showed up dressed in black, delivered a dramatic eulogy, cried like somebody lost a family member, and then actually buried the capture card.

Don't buy the elgato hd60s for mac - this is not clickbait! This capture care literally does not work properly with MacOS and you will have tons of audio sync issues and other issues since it does not run natively in any capture software.
