The Xbox Series S is a drastic improvement of last gen. Games run real smooth. Picture quality is ultra-high with beautiful graphics. Lag has never been a problem! I got my Xbox pre-owned. It's like new and still has 3-month game pass ultimate. There's no disk tray so all games can be played digital only. Very cool console now is a good time to buy one.Read G
Go through the main differences between the Xbox Series X and S, and why I think this is the best entry-level gaming console, which could potentially double up as a PC, and why I think it's still worth getting. But before I begin, let me know in the comments what console you're currently gaming on.Watch C

Now, what was an impulsive purchase has become a shrewd investment. Why? Because that dusty Xbox sitting on my desk is now worth more than it was when I bought it, baby. If I was smart, I would've bought 50 Xboxes and sat on them to really make a profit.Read M
I want to talk about the Xbox Series S cuz I've been playing it quite a lot recently and I got to say I'm sort of impressed with how this tiny cereal box system actually performs cuz it's kind of flipping impressive. Now I've personally been playing games going as far back as the Super Nintendo and the N64 and the PS1 and Dreamcast and all that.Watch P
I just wanted to champion Xbox Series S a little more here in 2025, because if anything, the value it offers has gone up since the start of its lifecycle.Read T
You know, this game is so incredibly good. And oh, and by the way, by the way, big shout out to the people at Ubisoft for sending me early access to the game because I was not expecting anything from this game. And you know, I'm hooked. I love the Xbox Series S. I think it's a casual gamer's dream and it's built with a sleek package. It has enough storage to be able to play whatever you like and has a game pass where you can have a vast library of games inside of a very decently powerful console. very powerful console for the price. So, let's talk more about this console.Watch L

And if you currently have it, these are some of the reasons that you guys can probably agree with why it's such a powerhouse and it's absolutely worth it. Let's go ahead and get straight into the video. All right, guys.Watch G
And honestly, I was really impressed by the consistency. On the base Series S, you often have to choose performance mode for smoothness or quality mode for visuals. On the Series S Pro, that line starts to blur. I was hitting a locked 1440p at 120 FPS in most optimized titles, and it felt crisp. No other word for it.Watch G
Xbox Series S remains one of the most affordable ways to enter modern gaming. For many people, it's the difference between playing new games and not playing them at all. For students, schedule players, or parents buying a console for their kids, Sirius S is a very logical choice.Watch I
All the games that I've tried on it are so good and I've got a very good experience playing on the Xbox Series S. And one thing that cannot be left out is the load times on the Series S. It loads games very quick. Games don't take longer times to load for you to get into it. It's very fast.Watch

I'm not sure what the long-term reliability of the system is as of now. For me it's my secondary console, so I only use it about maybe 30 or 40 hours a month. I've had mine for about a year and a half with no issues. I have read on this subreddit that many people have had issues with theirs, power supply seems to be a common culprit. In terms of maintenance, it's a console.Read thread A
All right, with the seals off let's open up the Xbox Series S. Oh okay I like a little attention to detail so first of all, as we power our dreams we get the tiny tiny little Series S. It's really hard to get the sort of scale of this until you actually have it in your hands but this has gotta be the smallest console we've had since like the slim PS2.Watch Y
Following the price hikes announced today by Microsoft , the Xbox Series S no longer feels like such a good deal. While it's still the cheapest way into current-gen gaming, the entire Xbox ecosystem has been price gouged to the point where the Xbox Series S no longer has a clear or appealing platform identity.Read S
Now, the big thing I can definitely tell you about this particular console is that it is still a very powerful console. It still looks beautiful and it still has so many different things going on within it. With an Xbox Series S, this is one of those types of consoles that you can still buy and still get a very, very good, powerful experience from it.Watch Q Quora Quora answer

Visually, the game isn't as crisp and sharp as a more powerful PS5 Pro, but you know what? It's not too bad. Things are pretty good when you're just standing still. Now, of course, when you're moving around, you move the camera around, it's another story. That's where the PS5 Pro being a lot more powerful is going to look better.Watch A

It's not the most powerful console, and it's definitely showing its age, but it's far from being a bad con.Watch L
And when this thing was first released, I definitely recommended it. A reasonably powerful current gen console in this tiny little form factor. What isn't there to love? But Microsoft had to ruin it. They just couldn't help themselves.Watch J
Now, the performance isn't bad at all, but the Xbox Series S was from ground up built to handle 1440p at 60fps or 1080p at 120fps for those games that support that setting. So, hitting that 4K 60fps is not possible on the Xbox Series S. In my opinion, however, this isn't really an issue for me.Watch C
The Xbox Series S is the cheapest ninth generation console, but unlike the Xbox 360, it's also the weakest, which is why people predicted a grim future for it. However, it still runs all modern games. At first, there were tons of speculations that this little console would die before the generation ended, and it seems like we're getting close to that point.Watch F
However, with the recent price hikes, a brand new 1 TBTE Xbox Series S is now the same price as a Switch 2, which offers a significantly more robust exclusive library and portability.Watch E
However, I do think it is at the same time depending on who's watching this. We'll get into it. It's not the console's fault per se, but again, it also is as well why I don't play it. So yeah, kick back, relax, get your get your tea, your coffee, your brew, you know, get your Doritos out, your popcorn, just chill out cuz this might be a long one. In the US, Series S was my "go to" recommendation for casual gamers, but now that the Series S is almost as expensive as a base PS5 Digital, it's hard to recommend. The other factor might be the lack of disk drive. Physical games are often cheaper and, of course, you can get them used for even cheaper.Read thread J

The problem is being stuck at 30 FPS. Across six minutes of gameplay, the Series S recorded roughly 30 single-frame drops to 29 FPS. That means the 30 FPS target is actually quite stable, with many additional drops occurring during cutscenes. I just wish Series S had received the 40 FPS balance option.View post G
One of the biggest reasons people hate the Xbox Series S is that they believe it's holding the entire gaming industry back. Because the Series X has 12 teraflops of GPU power, while the Series S only has four. And for a lot of gamers, four teraflops just feels way too low for this generation.Watch T
