Whynter ICM-15LS
The smaller, older Whynter that buyers cross-shop against the ICM-201SB and should not buy: same brand, less machine, and the ICM-201SB is the one that actually tops tests. Buy the Whynter ICM-201SB instead.

The smaller, older sibling in the same Whynter lineup that buyers find first when shopping the brand. It gives up capacity and the refined design of the ICM-201SB while carrying the same brand expectation, and when Whynter compressors are tested it is the ICM-201SB that makes the top picks.

I love using the Whynter ice cream maker and it’s been a great addition to my kitchen. The built-in compressor is my favorite feature since there’s no need to pre-freeze the bowl, making it easy to start a batch anytime. It produces smooth, creamy ice cream in about 30–40 minutes, and the digital controls are simple to use, no setup needed. The stainless steel design feels sturdy and is easy to clean. It is a bit noisy and on the heavier side, but the convenience and consistent results make it well worth it for homemade desserts.Read H Homemade Ice Cream Homemade Ice Cream · 59 subscribers · Sept 2017
This is a review of the Whynter ICM-15LS Ice Cream Maker ( http://amzn.to/2jUWaeP ) one of the best ice cream makers sold today for under $300. It's not cheap, and it's not small, and it's not light, but it does a great job. It cools quickly, it's not too loud, and the ice cream is produces is incredible. You'll never want to eat store-bought ice cream again.Watch Q quicK Review quicK Review · channel

Finally, differentiate between functions: Extended Cooling functions, found on models like the ICM-200LS and ICM-220SSY, are designed to prevent mixture melting after the cycle, whereas the keep-cool function of Whynter ICM-15LS ice cream maker is not recommended because it can lead to increased melting and coarser ice cream due to ice crystal growth.Read B
We also found the ICM-15LS to be excessively loud. But it still makes great ice cream, and would be a perfectly acceptable pick for anyone who doesn’t mind devoting a bit of extra counter space to their ice cream endeavors.Read
