Yes. Excellent ventilation is one of the strongest findings for the Trek Velocis MIPS in our research, which makes it a good choice for long climbs and summer riding. A well-vented road helmet also dries sweat-soaked pads faster between rides.
It is a road helmet: light, heavily vented and without a visor. It will work for gravel and light trail riding, but it gives less rear and side coverage than a trail helmet. For regular trail riding the Bell Super 2 on our board is the better fit.
Measure your head circumference with a tape just above the ears and eyebrows, then pick the size whose range includes that number. The helmet should sit level, about a finger width above the brows, and should not rock when you shake your head before the chin strap is done up. Use the rear dial to snug the cradle, then set the straps in a V under each ear.
